General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) could emerge as a surprise hero for Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has good reasons for his trust issues, but Brennan seemed genuinely happy to be included at Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) holiday gathering.
That’s where Brennan bonded with Josslyn and earned Carly’s gratitude.
Carly was impressed with the way Brennan talked to Josslyn like a mature adult – and she certainly liked the fact that Joss was distracted from her grief for a while.
Now Brennan has a chance to impress Carly once again and help Josslyn get closure at the same time.
Will Brennan be the one to expose Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) as Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) killer and come through for Josslyn?
In the December 27 episode, Josslyn had a special request for Brennan.
After Josslyn mentioned the WSB satellites, she hoped that maybe Brennan could access the footage for the day of Dex’s attack in Rice Plaza and help the PCPD.
Brennan claimed he couldn’t help Josslyn and told her everything was deleted after 48 hours.
However, GH fans quickly learned that wasn’t true since Brennan made a private phone call to pull that footage after all.
Perhaps Brennan lied to protect Josslyn from more disappointment.
It would’ve been easy for Josslyn to get her hopes up, so maybe Brennan thought the kindest thing to do was tell her it was impossible.
Regardless, Brennan’s secretly going to examine every image and see if he can nail down who went after Dex.
Will Brennan spot Cyrus on the footage and deliver a major break in this case?
Even if Cyrus’ face wasn’t captured, Brennan might get some clues about who targeted Dex.
Perhaps Brennan will launch an investigation of his own – one that ultimately leads to Cyrus.
Since the hospital’s about to take a closer look at the connection between Dex and Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) fatal outcomes, Brennan’s discovery could lead to answers about Sam’s demise, too.
Although Brennan has some shady motives when it comes to being in Port Charles, those will become less important than his growing feelings for Carly in the new year.
Brennan is truly falling for Carly, so it would be in his best interest to do whatever he can to help Josslyn.
