General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that sooner or later, someone has to find out the secret Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) has been keeping. Based on Lois’ suspicious behavior, it’s easy to see that she’s hiding the truth about Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri’s (Giovanni Mazza) parentage.
Now that Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) are trying for a baby, there’s been a lot of talk about Lois’ first grandchild.
Lois always acts strange at the mention of that – like she’s already got a grandchild living right there under the Quartermaine roof!
All signs point to Gio being the result of Brook Lynn and Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) fling at camp when they were teenagers.
Brook Lynn seemingly got pregnant and gave the baby up for adoption without Dante ever knowing about it.
Of course, Brook Lynn doesn’t realize Gio is the child she gave up, but Lois clearly does.
It’s just a matter of when someone else will become privy to the secret Lois has been hiding all these years.
We can certainly imagine Lois talking to herself when she thinks no one is listening.
That’s a pretty common soap occurrence, so maybe Lois will mutter to herself about how Brook Lynn and Dante can never find out Gio is their son.
Cody might overhear that shocker and potentially even confront Lois since his best friend is involved.
Dante would want to know if he had another child, so Cody may push Lois to spill the whole story.
Then again, the truth might start to unravel after Brook Lynn admits to Chase that she had a baby that was given up for adoption.
Brook Lynn can’t withhold that forever, so she might ultimately confess and explain that the baby was a result of a romance when she was too young to properly care for a kid.
Since Cody knows about Brook Lynn and Dante’s camp fling, it wouldn’t be hard for him to start putting the pieces together.
If Lois senses that Cody’s about to divulge too much, she might blurt out that Gio is the child in question and beg him not to say anything.
Lois most likely doesn’t want to taint Gio’s memory of his adoptive mother who passed away since he assumed she was his biological mom.
Gio has been lied to his entire life, so Lois may think it’s best just to let this ride and avoid a major family blowup.
However, Cody could be a problem if he feels obligated to tell Daddy Dante he’s got another son he could be bonding with.
Now that Cody has a relationship with Mac Scorpio (John J. York), he might also think it’s unfair to keep Gio in the dark when he could be connecting with his bio mom and dad.
Our GH predictions point to Lois’ secret landing in jeopardy in the not-too-distant future, so we’ll bring you updates on whether Cody might discover that stunning news.
