General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the show will certainly try to tug at fans’ heartstrings as Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) exit draws near. As part of that plan, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) might decide to make a bold move.
GH fans know Dante is dealing with a lot of difficult emotions right now due to Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins) failing health.
Part of Dante will always love Lulu – not to mention he’s worried about what losing her would do to Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr).
However, that doesn’t take away from the love story that’s played out between Dante and Sam.
The show has given Sam and Dante a relationship that’s incredibly mature and healthy, so they’ve built something special – even if they aren’t soulmates.
Dante recently had a deep conversation with Sam about how much she means to him.
Since Dante doesn’t even want to think about losing Sam, it’s almost time for GH to deliver that distressing blow.
That said, we want to focus for a moment on what might happen before Sam’s tragic outcome.
Will Dante propose marriage to Sam and make the loss he’s about to face even more devastating?
It’s possible Dante will pop the question and lock Sam in as his fiancée. Sam and Dante might look forward to their wedding day, but they’ll never make it to the altar.
Then again, maybe an almost marriage proposal would be an even sadder angle to play.
Dante might have the engagement ring ready and never get a chance to present it to Sam.
It’s easy to imagine Dante planning a romantic evening with the hope of asking Sam to be his wife.
Dante may determine that he wants to seize the day and show Sam that he’s all in on their future together.
Alas, that future will be cut short, so Sam may never show up for whatever grand gesture Dante might plan.
Wouldn’t it be crushing to watch Dante gaze at that engagement ring after Sam’s gone and fling it in a fit of despair?
Our predictions hint that Sam will face a grim fate that leaves a lasting mark on all the people she cares about – especially Dante since he’s her love interest.
