General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) recently had an important discussion about Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) status at the PCPD. After Josslyn confirmed that Dex had graduated from the police academy, she said he had his badge and that it officially made him one of Port Charles’ finest.
That led to some talk about deceased Agent John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington) in the September 5 episode.
Trina suggested it was too bad Dex didn’t graduate yesterday since he could’ve broken his badge in on the Quartermaine property.
Dex obviously wasn’t there to get tangled up in the latest police investigation, but it did get us thinking!
Now that Dex is finally a cop, it’s only a matter of time until he makes his first arrest.
Who will be the first person Dex puts in handcuffs? That’s sure to be a big moment that could spark some trouble depending on how it all plays out.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) backed off the idea of getting revenge on Dex, but he still expects him to stay in his own lane.
Although Sonny may be on his meds again, that doesn’t mean he’ll accept Dex crossing any lines.
Could there be a situation brewing where Dex is the one to slap the cuffs on Sonny and help haul him down to the station?
That would feel like a huge betrayal considering Dex’s history of working for Sonny.
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) hired Dex to infiltrate Sonny’s organization and gather the necessary evidence to send his father to prison.
It’ll be an interesting twist if Dex becomes the cop to arrest Sonny over proof that emerges in this Agent Cates investigation.
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) might even think this could send a message to the other cops who have always given Dex a hard time about his former employment.
If Dex helps Anna make the arrest, it could be a big sign that he’s no longer loyal to Sonny at all.
On the other hand, there’s no guarantee Sonny will be the one getting apprehended.
Dex might have to arrest someone like Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), Kristina Corithos-Davis (Kate Mansi) or another character depending on what’s next in the investigation.
It’s even possible Dex’s first arrest will be tied to something other than what happened to John.
GH writers could have Dex become part of some different PCPD drama and make his first arrest a little less high-profile.
Regardless, Dex is a real cop now, so our predictions suggest he’ll have a chance to put his badge to good use soon enough!
