General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) will need someone he can turn to in the aftermath of Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) demise. It’s been heartbreaking to watch Sam prepare to save Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) since we know Kelly Monaco’s on-screen departure is rapidly approaching.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) has been worried that Lulu may not survive the surgery, but she indeed will. Alexa Havins will make her debut as a Lulu recast down the road, so Lulu will pull through and ultimately thrive thanks to Sam’s incredible gift.
It’s Sam who’s got a sad GH exit story in progress, so many fans are dreading what comes next. Once Sam faces a grim outcome, her loved ones will have to mourn the loss – especially her children.
Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) will certainly struggle and will need to lean on Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) more than ever in the coming episodes. Likewise, Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) will need to lean on Drew.
Although Drew will do his best to stay strong for Scout, you can bet he’ll be crumbling behind closed doors. Drew truly loved Sam once upon a time, so his own heart will break right along with Scout’s.
Of course, seeing the toll all this takes on Scout will be the worst part. Drew may feel like he’s failing Scout if she spins out and doesn’t respond well to his attempts to comfort her.
Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) has plenty of experience with kids, so it’s easy to imagine Drew turning to her for help. Drew could at least open up to Willow about his grief and how hard it is to watch Scout suffer.
Willow has been trying to stay away from Drew, but there’s no way she’s going to abandon him during this mourning period. We’ll inevitably see Willow console Drew, so they’ll be connecting and sharing plenty of close moments.
This could be the final push Drew and Willow need to land in bed together. Naturally, it could also give Elaine (Judy Kain), the private investigator Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) hired, a chance to snap some pics of Willow and Drew in a compromising position.
Even if Ned bails on his blackmail plot, Elaine could sell the photos to Drew’s main political opponent or something along those lines. There’s the potential for Elaine to score proof that Ned can’t control.
In other words, even if Ned decides not to kick Drew when he’s down, evidence of Drew and Willow’s hot hookup could still surface. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and all the voters could get updates on Drew’s lover secret eventually.
