General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that a new face will be popping up on the ABC soap soon. SOD confirms that Indi Star has joined the cast of GH and will make her debut as Gretchen during the week of December 16-20.
Star is an actor, musician and dancer who some fans might remember from her time as part of KIDZ BOP! back in 2018. However, Indi Star eventually left the group to focus on her own projects.
You may have seen Star in various film and television roles, including ones on Charmers, Claire RockSmith, Sawyer Sharbino, The Hyperions and more.
As for who Indi Star will be playing on GH, not much is known about Gretchen so far.
This is going to be a short-term character, but she’ll most likely make a big splash during her brief stint.
Could Gretchen perhaps be an old friend that Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) is still in touch with?
Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) recently hinted about looking into Charlotte’s online activity, so that’s something to keep in mind.
It’s possible that Gretchen reached out to Charlotte now that Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) coma awakening is making the news.
Then again, maybe Charlotte has secretly been contacting Gretchen all along without Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) knowledge.
Charlotte has to be feeling pretty isolated on the run with Valentin.
It’s easy to imagine Charlotte connecting with her friends from back home or boarding school to deal with her loneliness.
Although Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) was able to nail down Zurich as Valentin’s last known whereabouts, that doesn’t confirm for sure where Valentin is right now.
Perhaps Charlotte exchanged messages with Gretchen that’ll be the key to nailing down a more exact and current location.
Of course, it’s also possible Gretchen will serve a different purpose in another storyline entirely.
No matter how the writers choose to use Gretchen, it’ll be interesting to see what’s in store!
