General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that ever since Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) came to Port Charles, there’s been a great deal of speculation about who his love interest might turn out to be.
Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is single and certainly appreciates Gio’s artistic side as a violinist, but she’s still struggling to move on following Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) demise.
Although Gio seems intrigued by Trina, we can’t help but notice how much time Gio spends hanging out with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).
Gio knows Josslyn and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) are trying to figure out a path back together, but he could still be crushing on Joss.
Likewise, Josslyn has clearly grown quite comfortable around Gio in a short amount of time.
It’s easy to see the potential for Gio and Josslyn to cross over the friendship boundary with a kiss or something more.
If Josslyn cheats with Gio, that could lead to Dex finding out and feeling crushed over the betrayal.
It’d give Dex a taste of what Cameron Webber (William Lipton) went through back when Josslyn cheated on him with Dex.
Dex has been trying to make up for his own mistakes and show Josslyn that he can be the man she fell in love with.
Although Dex lost his way when he was working for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), he’s feeling good about where things are headed with Joss.
That’s why it would blindside Dex and shatter his heart if Josslyn betrayed him now.
Even if it’s just a little slip where Josslyn gets caught up in the moment, it could have devastating consequences.
Josslyn hasn’t made a girlfriend commitment to Dex again just yet, but they seem to have an understanding that they’re headed back toward couple status.
Regardless, this wouldn’t be a story about betrayal technicalities.
If Josslyn kisses or even hits the sheets with Gio, that’s going to be a big deal to Dex.
Whether or not Dex and Josslyn have an official couple label isn’t going to matter.
Dex has confided in Josslyn before about his father being a serial cheater and how angry he was that his mother put up with it.
If Josslyn goes behind Dex’s back with Gio, it could leave Dex with serious doubts about his future with her.
