General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the show may have foreshadowed a possible new pairing in Port Charles. Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) is still in a coma at the moment, but she’ll be waking up for some new storylines later this fall.
Part of Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) heart is always going to belong to Lulu, who was secretly still in love with him when she became comatose.
Of course, that doesn’t mean GH writers are going to rush Lulu and Dante’s romantic reunion.
This is a soap, so there are going to be obstacles along the way.
Dante and Lulu will inevitably get back together sooner or later, but we should also consider what might play out in the meantime.
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is headed for the exit door, so that’s important to keep in mind.
GH insider buzz points to Sam getting killed off – and if that’s the case, Dante won’t just shrug that off and immediately reunite with Lulu.
Dante will need a real chance to grieve and figure out what his world looks like without Sam in it.
Plus, Dante has already been struggling over past mistakes when it comes to how he treated Lulu, so he may worry about hurting her all over again.
That brings us to another romantic option for Lulu, which may have emerged in the September 16 episode.
Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) decided it was high time for him to “meet” Lulu, which led to him listening to Dante open up about her.
Dante asked Cody to stay with Lulu while he met with Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), so Cody sweetly sat by Lulu’s bedside and prepared to tell her childhood stories about Dante.
We can imagine Cody trying to guide Lulu and Dante back to couple status down the road, but what if he develops feelings for Lulu in the process? Could Lulu and Cody get paired up for a while?
If that happens, it could create major problems! Cody might betray Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) and ruin the relationship that he’s worked so hard to lock in.
This could also blow up Dante’s friendship with Cody and make the path to a Lulu reunion even more difficult.
However, the best things in life are never easy – at least on a daytime drama! All the Cody chaos could ultimately just be another step on Lulu’s journey back to Dante.
