General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) behavior lately has been surprising many fans. Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) betrayal blew up their friendship and previously left plenty of viewers thinking Nina might never get over it.
However, Ava has come to regret how she treated Nina, who’s actually been trying to help her find a lawyer and stay out of prison.
Even Ava questioned why Nina was being so nice to her, so Nina had two reasons why.
For starters, Nina admitted she didn’t want to see Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) lose her mother.
Despite Ava’s flaws, she adores Avery – and Nina can respect that bond even more now that she’s forming a mother-daughter connection to Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen).
In fact, Willow was the second reason Nina offered when it came to her change of heart.
Since Willow was willing to give Nina another chance, Nina suggested that maybe Ava deserved one, too.
It’s possible that the show’s simply using this as an easy fix for Ava and Nina’s broken relationship.
Nina and Ava were entertaining friends, so perhaps GH writers are just trying to repair the damage and move on.
That said, it’d be a great twist if Nina is actually working on a long-game revenge plot.
The part about not wanting Avery’s mom in the slammer maybe true, but there are other ways for Nina to strike back down the road.
Nina definitely wasn’t happy when Ava lied about helping her try to fix her marriage to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Ava tried to grow closer to Sonny herself and alienated Nina with her selfish moves.
It’d be fitting if Nina is now pretending to help Ava just so she can blow things up for her later!
Maybe Nina could lull Ava into a false sense of security and make her believe they’re truly becoming pals again.
It could set the stage for Nina to pull the rug out from under Ava when she least expects it somewhere down the line.
That’s especially true if Ava does something else to get on Nina’s bad side.
Ava has a knack for self-sabotage and could ruin any progress they might make – leaving Nina ready to make her “friend” crash and burn somehow.
General Hospital spoilers say Ava will get updates on some good news about her legal case soon, but our predictions hint that more trouble might be on the horizon.
