General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will have a lot of drama to contend with during the week of August 19-23. For starters, Sonny just watched Agent John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington) show up to arrest Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), so that’ll definitely bring more clashing.
Now Cates is using the photos and Kristina’s protectiveness of Sonny to make it seem like she wanted to wipe Ava Jerome (Maura West) off the map.
Kristina could go down for attempted murder if John has his way, but Sonny will promise his daughter that he’s going to fix this.
That should lead to Sonny tracking Ava down and handling her the best way he knows how.
Of course, Sonny already told Kristina that he wasn’t going to kill Ava since he doesn’t want that weighing on her conscience.
However, Ava is clearly worried that Sonny might take her out permanently – and to be fair, that’s still Sonny’s ultimate goal.
Sonny just can’t do it right now since he’s under so much scrutiny and it wouldn’t be good for Kristina to feel responsible.
That said, Ava fears Sonny’s fatal wrath, so GH spoilers suggest that’s something he can use to his advantage here.
Sonny may warn that if Ava wants to live, then she’d better listen up and take the last chance offer he’s about to make.
Thanks to the confession Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) got out of Clement Moore (Philip Cass), Sonny will know it was Ava who took things a step further than Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) original plot and demanded total placebos.
It’s true that Ava wasn’t to blame at first, but she certainly needs to take some responsibility for piggybacking on the scheme and trying to push Sonny over the edge.
Sonny may warn that Ava’s lucky to be alive considering what he actually wants to do to her. Nevertheless, Sonny might show some restraint and insist he’s willing to strike a deal.
It’s possible Sonny’s offer will be as simple as letting Ava survive if she refuses to back up Cates’ case.
There may be a situation where Kristina’s willing to admit she inadvertently fell out the window if Ava disputes John’s attempted murder angle.
If Ava and Kristina can come together on a story of a plain and simple accident, then maybe there’s a way to settle all this.
As for Sonny’s other possible terms, will he push Ava to relinquish all rights to Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) and leave town?
Sonny obviously wants rid of Ava one way or another, but Ava doesn’t want to give up her daughter.
If Ava pushes back on sharing custody and sticking around, will Sonny still be willing to reach an agreement for Kristina’s sake?
There could be some tough negotiations since both Ava and Sonny will have lot at stake, so we’ll bring you updates on that these enemies decide.
