General Hospital Thursday, September 5 Recap: Dante's Clue, Kristina's Interrogation and Ric Rejects Ava’s Case

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, September 5, reveals that Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) was disgusted when she realized Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) might’ve been the culprits of her rumpled bed.

Afterward, a woman named Ms. Robin Finch (Sarah Sherman) arrived and corrected Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) on the way she said “croissant.”

Ms. Finch was able to pinpoint exactly where Olivia was from based on her accent alone.

Once Ms. Finch introduced herself as a dialect tutor and said Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) was her new student, Tracy admitted she hired her.

Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) was angry over that news, but Lois thought maybe she could use Ms. Finch’s help.

In the apartment over the garage, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) assumed Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) stayed over with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) since she was wearing the same clothes from last night.

There was some talk about Dex graduating from cadet status as well as a conversation about Agent John “Jagger” Cates’ (Adam J. Harrington) murder, so Joss pointed out that Sonny hated the guy.

Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) showed up and mentioned Tracy’s reaction to Sonny sleeping with Carly in her bed, so Josslyn flipped out and thought there must be some mistake.

Once Josslyn tracked Olivia down in hopes of confirming Gio misunderstood, the look on Olivia’s face suggested otherwise!

Josslyn later ranted to Trina about her mom’s actions before deciding Carly was an adult who was free to mess up her own life.

At Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) place, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) gave her updates on Ava Jerome (Maura West) recanting her statement following her misadventure with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Boyle (Amor Owens).

Alexis feared Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) might get off the hook for one murder and face charges for another.

Once Alexis filled Diane in off-screen, Diane advised her to question Kristina as a lawyer and not her mother.

Alexis privately told Kristina about Ava’s recanted statement and John’s demise.

After Kristina said that was one down and one to go, Alexis was disturbed over her daughter’s cold attitude and asked if she killed Agent Cates.

Kristina denied it despite how things looked due to the weapon Alexis found.

Although Kristina wanted to return the gun since she stole it from Sonny, Alexis confessed to tossing it off the footbridge.

At Sonny’s penthouse, Carly came out wearing one of his T-shirts and griped about how their passionate alibi would look to their family.

Although Carly wouldn’t feed Sonny to the wolves, she only wanted to do the bare minimum here.

Diane was horrified when she arrived to see Carly had spent the night, but she quickly realized they were creating an alibi because of Cates’ demise.

However, Diane wasn’t convinced Sonny and Carly’s efforts would be enough, so she thought they needed a pattern of behavior – meaning a full-blown fake affair.

Once Diane told Sonny about Ava recanting her statement, she made it clear that he had to get on the same page with Carly if they were going to sell their phony rekindling.

Later, Sonny was alone when he got Jason on the phone to tell him about the gun that had gone missing from his safe.

As for Carly, she looked like a kid with her hand caught in the cookie jar as she ran into Josslyn outside Sonny’s place.

At the gallery, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) had Ric come over since Ava still needed a lawyer to fight the charges Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) was pursuing against her.

After Ric realized Ava was the client, he refused to defend her due to bad blood and the conflict of interest since Kristina was his niece.

Nina still hoped to find Ava a new attorney and shut down Ava’s idea about going on the run.

Ava wondered why Nina was being so helpful, so Nina admitted she didn’t want Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) to lose her mom.

Plus, Nina had learned from Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and suggested that Ava deserved another chance.

At GH, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) discussed their mystery patient aka Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson), who wasn’t in a coma but still hadn’t regained consciousness.

Isaiah had opened his eyes briefly last night, but TJ thought that might’ve been due to a seizure.

One of Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) men came in dressed as a hospital employee later, so he told Liz that he was new and there to clean up.

Elizabeth told the guy to come back later, but he got on the phone and confirmed that his mission was to make sure Isaiah never woke up.

Over with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), they fixated on Isaiah’s case since they felt helpless in other areas of their lives.

Dante wound up searching at the hit-and-run accident site, where he pulled Isaiah’s phone out of the dirt and leaves.

Back with Ric, he met up with Liz since they both heard about Agent Cates’ demise.

Since they saw Alexis getting rid of a gun on the same night, Ric told Liz that they had to go to the cops.

Elizabeth didn’t want to get involved, but Ric insisted this was something they needed to do together.

General Hospital spoilers say Ric will keep pushing Liz to make a statement to the police, so stick with us for more predictions on whether they’ll go through with it.
