General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Wednesday, January 31, reveal that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will offer reassurance to her staff at Crimson since there’ll apparently be some concerns about whether she can handle taking over for Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros).
However, Carly will have big plans to make the magazine even better – starting with a partnership that she’ll pitch to Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot).
It looks like Carly will hope to strike a new deal between Crimson and Deception, so she’ll insist this is an opportunity that Tracy can’t afford to miss.
There’ll also be a meeting at Deception about Carly’s offer, so Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will push for details as she sits with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton).
Sasha and Maxie may be torn about moving forward with this deal since they’ll probably feel like they’re betraying Nina.
Nevertheless, business is business, so Maxie and Sasha might also have to acknowledge that this offer could be incredibly lucrative.
Although Tracy will have some doubts about Carly’s Crimson takeover, will she ultimately reach an agreement with her?
Meanwhile, Nina will seemingly talk to a reporter, but she’ll keep her answer short and insist that’s all she has to say on the record.
Over with Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer), she’ll corner Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) so they can talk. Lois will admit that if she left it up to Olivia, they might never speak again!
That would break Lois’ heart, so she’ll hope to work things out with Olivia on Wednesday’s GH episode and get their friendship back on track.
In Puerto Rico, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) will do everything they can to protect Ava Jerome (Maura West) during the shootout that’s on the verge of erupting.
There’ll be some scary moments as Ava and Sonny continue to seek cover while Dex returns fire on the threat that’s causing chaos.
Ava will panic over an enemy targeting them all the way in Puerto Rico and will no doubt fret over Avery Corinthos’ (Ava and Grace Scarola) safety as well.
In Paris, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) just found a trail of blood on the ship, so he should eventually realize Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) knocked out the employee on board.
In the meantime, Esme just cornered Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) alone, so they’re on the verge of having a major showdown.
Spencer will ultimately come face to face with Esme again as well, so she’ll warn him about the terrible things that are going to happen if he doesn’t do exactly what she says.
You can bet Spencer will step up to protect Trina at all costs, so he’ll be willing to sacrifice himself if need be. All that’ll matter to Spencer in that moment is Trina’s safety.
Esme brought a syringe and duct tape, so those items will inevitably come into play at some point. Will Esme subdue Trina while she deals with Spencer?
Regardless, things aren’t looking good for Spencer since this will be his final airdate – at least until Nicholas Alexander Chavez’s leave of absence is over several months from now.
Will Spencer get thrown overboard after tangling with Esme? Could Trina regain consciousness and attack Esme from behind in the end?
We know Trina will somehow turn the tables on Esme in a satisfying moment of payback, so that’s important to keep in mind.
