General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) was outraged when she found out Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) was the reason the SEC went after Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), but there’s still hope for the future.
Of course, the whole point of this story has been to set Nina up for another big fall.
The writers finally started to let Nina bond with Willow, but that was only so their connection could be ripped away.
Willow is understandably angry right now, but that doesn’t mean she’s going to hate Nina forever.
There are good reasons to think Willow will eventually soften toward Nina and find forgiveness in her heart.
For starters, this whole soapy scenario is typical on GH. Pick pretty much any long-lost daughter situation that’s played out in Port Charles and it’s usually involved major drama in the beginning.
Willow and Nina are still in the early stages of their relationship, so there’s plenty of time for them to straighten things out and find a better path forward.
After all, Willow was able to forgive Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel), the mom who illegally adopted her, put her in a cult and let her get taken advantage of by evil Shiloh Archer (Cody Ryan McLaughlin).
Harmony caused Neil Byrne’s (Joe Flanigan) grim fate and nearly caused the demise of Carly as well as Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
Nevertheless, Willow still speaks of Harmony rather fondly and even had dreams where she was warning her about Nina!
It would be ridiculous if Willow forgave Harmony for all that and cut Nina out of her life forever over tipping off the SEC.
As a result, it’s only a matter of time until Willow starts getting reminders of Nina’s good qualities.
Wiley Quartermaine’s (Viron Weaver) unconditional love for Nina may affect Willow’s path to forgiveness, too.
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) sabotaged Nina’s attempt to connect with Willow through his blackmail plot, but she may have a chance to do things right with Willow down the road.
Willow will want to proceed with caution, but she may start by reopening her heart to Nina just a crack and go from there.
Over time, Nina can hopefully win Willow’s trust and build a real relationship with her – one that isn’t dictated by Michael or anyone else.
Willow needs to be in the driver’s seat here, but Michael may be furious if she decides she’s willing to let Nina back in and open their family up to more trouble.
General Hospital spoilers say that could bring another round of conflict for Willow and Michael, so stick with us for updates on her broken bond with Nina and any news on its repair.
