General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, July 11, reveals that Ava Jerome (Maura West) accused Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) of threatening her and urged John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington) to confiscate the phone so he could hear for himself.
Sonny denied the threats and deleted the recording before bickering with John.
Once Sonny left, Ava convinced John to stay for a drink and offered updates on her custody fight since Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) shouldn’t be with her volatile father.
Ava asked if John would be willing to make a statement to Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) to support her case.
John couldn’t make any promises, but he did point out that Sonny would be behind bars soon anyway if he had anything to say about it.
In the Quartermaine stables, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) visited Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) to hear his side of the story.
Felicia also urged Cody to give Mac Scorpio (John J. York) some time to come around, but the real point of this visit was intentionally leaving her phone behind.
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) failed to get through to Mac back at her place, but then Felicia came home pretending she’d lost her phone.
Once Maxie called it and hung up, Cody saw that it was still at the stables and brought it over to Maxie’s house.
After Maxie opened the door to reveal Cody, Mac glared at him and certainly wasn’t happy about his arrival.
At Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) place, Sonny sought her support since he was countersuing Ava for sole custody of Avery.
Although Alexis was willing to testify about Sonny’s love for his daughter, she couldn’t condone anything related to what he did for a living.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) revealed a damage control plan to help Blaze aka Allison “Allie” Rogers’ (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), which involved doing a joint interview with Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi).
Blaze was hesitant to drag Kristina into the spotlight, but Kristina was on board with telling the truth about their relationship and showing their love for each other.
Kristina eventually made her way to Alexis’ house, where she told both Alexis and Sonny about this upcoming interview.
Although Kristina worried about saying the wrong thing, Sonny made a prediction about her doing great.
Back with Brook Lynn on Thursday’s GH episode, she tasted some of the blackberries that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) had been picking with Violet Finn (Jophielle Love).
Chase and Brook Lynn were pleased to see that Violet was doing well despite Hamilton Finn’s (Michael Easton) time away, but they agreed they needed to continue being there for her as much as possible.
Although Chase was going off his family bereavement leave, he only planned to work three days a week so that he could keep making Violet a priority.
Meanwhile, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) tracked down Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and revealed her plan to put a measure on the ballot about recalling Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis).
Portia was hopeful that Jordan would ultimately take Laura’s place, but then Jordan angered her by basically siding with Laura about everyone deserving justice.
Once Portia made it clear that she wouldn’t stand by and let Heather Webber (Alley Mills) unleash more horror, she stomped off.
At Pentonville, Laura visited Heather and handed over a new photo of Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay).
Heather eventually mentioned Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) own visit and warned Laura to stop pursuing this path that could lead to her release.
Since Heather couldn’t guarantee that her sinister side would stay gone following her new hip replacement, she didn’t want to risk committing more crimes.
Heather was adamant about staying locked up, so Laura agreed to back off if that’s what she really wanted.
