General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, February 5, reveals that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will wish he could’ve done more to help Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), who was presumed deceased in Paris after a final showdown with Esme Prince (Avery Pohl).
After Dante addresses Spencer’s grim fate in a conversation with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), talk will turn to the threat Sonny’s facing and all the danger that erupted in Puerto Rico.
Sonny will hint that only someone who knew all his operations and procedures could’ve done this, so Dante will assume he means it was an inside job.
Meanwhile, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) will deliver a heartfelt plea to Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) and hope he’s willing to get their romance back on track.
It looks like Martin will put up a fight and leave Lucy distraught, so Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) will do his best to comfort her and act like she could do better than Martin anyway.
In Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) office, she’ll face some remorse over the situation with Esme Prince (Avery Pohl).
Since Esme booked her Paris plane ticket with The Invader’s credit card, Alexis may blame herself for Spencer’s outcome on some level.
Of course, it wasn’t Alexis’ fault, so Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will reassure her of that and try to lift her spirits with a surprise.
Next on Monday’s GH episode, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will be a mess of emotions now that she’s reunited with Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) and Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay).
Although Laura was glad to finally see Nikolas again, she’ll give him some tough love on Monday’s episode and hint about him belonging in prison.
Nikolas may argue that there’s no need to blame him for Spencer’s demise since he feels bad enough as it is.
If Nikolas hadn’t shown up and fled with Ace, there’s a good chance Spencer would still be living it up in Paris with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) right now.
Nevertheless, what’s done is done, so Laura may push Nikolas to stop running and be a real father to Ace there in Port Charles.
Esme isn’t around to testify against Nikolas now anyway, so it’s doubtful he’ll get any major jail time.
As for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), she’ll introduce Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) to “Jagger” aka John Cates (Adam Harrington) – though he’ll clarify that he outgrew the nickname.
John will scold Anna and Jordan for interfering in his investigation, so it seems he was the one on the other side of that door when Jordan was warned.
Even so, Anna will think they have a great opportunity for some teamwork here. Will John agree to work with Anna and Jordan since they’re obviously not going to let this go?
