General Hospital Wednesday, July 31 Recap: Brick Snaps Photos of John & Ava, Kristina’s Subpoena Drama

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, July 31, reveals that Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) stopped by Kristina Corinthos-Davis’ (Kate Mansi) apartment and apologized for thinking the worst of her after the interview.

Molly also offered to tear up the termination of parental rights papers herself, but then someone else arrived to serve Kristina with new court documents.

Once Molly swore this had nothing to do with her, Kristina saw that she was being subpoenaed to testify in Avery Corinthos’ (Ava and Grace Scarola) custody case.

Kristina quickly realized Ava Jerome (Maura West) wanted her to testify about witnessing Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) attack on Dex Heller (Evan Hofer).

Although Molly suggested there was no way to wiggle out of this, Kristina mulled it over and muttered to herself about giving Ava a reason to take her off the list.

In Ava’s suite, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) got a phone notification about Kristina getting served and gave Ava updates on the news.

Ava was hopeful that Sonny would have a meltdown once Kristina took the stand.

Once Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) made it to Wiley Corinthos’ (Viron Weaver) birthday party, she hugged him along with Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) and savored her freedom.

Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) helped spread the word to the adults at the bash about Carly walking free due to the disappearing evidence.

Although Carly assumed she had Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) to thank for that, he admitted he wasn’t the one who deleted the recording.

Michael also filled Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) in on Sonny’s courthouse outburst and how he held his dad back from decking Agent John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington).

In Sonny’s office, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) offered his version of how he got tangled up with the FBI.

Sonny remained agitated over Jason not trusting him with the truth from the get-go and felt he had to protect himself since no one else would.

At the PCPD, John confronted Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and blamed her for the recording getting deleted, but Anna insisted she didn’t have that kind of power.

John still felt that Anna had literally been in bed with the enemy, so he ranted about Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) avoiding charges like Sonny.

Later, John landed back in Ava’s room and vented to her about his leverage vanishing, but he vowed to keep helping her with the custody case.

Ava mentioned that Kristina had been subpoenaed, so she felt confident that would lead to Sonny losing it in court.

John spilled about how Sonny almost attacked him at the courthouse, so he was more than willing to testify about that.

Since Michael was a witness, Ava decided she’d have Scott subpoena him, too.

As Ava and John celebrated Sonny’s imminent meltdown and imprisonment, they shared a passionate kiss.

Once Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) talked to Anna about her Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) discovery in Washington, he interrupted Sonny’s tense discussion with Jason.

After Jason left, Dante tried to warn Sonny to back off Cates, but Sonny snapped that Dante was a cop first and his son second.

Dante finally blew up at Sonny since you can only push people so far!

Once Sonny got a phone call, Dante stomped off.

Sonny turned his attention to Brick (Stephen A. Smith), who had found John in Ava’s suite, so he urged him to take a lot of pictures.

Next on Wednesday’s GH episode, Anna told Jason about her meeting with Brennan and her belief that he made the evidence against Carly go away – though she had to question why.

General Hospital spoilers say Carly will find out about Brennan’s good deed sooner or later, so stick with us for predictions on what she’ll do.
