General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) has suddenly become a far messier character after locking lips with Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison).
However, that’s nothing compared to all the crazy stunts that Willow’s wild sister, Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier), did over the years.
Willow and Nelle were opposites in many ways, but that’s exactly why Katelyn MacMullen would like the chance to play her more sinister sibling.
SOD recently asked MacMullen what other GH role she’d like to play for a day.
That led to MacMullen’s confession that she’d like to portray Nelle if given the opportunity.
“Especially since she’s Willow’s sister and just so different from Willow, it would be really fun to do that for a day!” MacMullen insisted.
Of course, MacMullen was quick to point out that no one could tackle the role quite like the talented Chloe Lanier.
In other words, this answer was just wishful thinking about how MacMullen would want to flex her acting chops.
It’s not like MacMullen is trying to take over Lanier’s role or give up playing Willow.
Even so, soaps are known for shocking rewrites, so we can imagine a world where the show changes the story to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) having identical twins instead of fraternal ones.
That’s all it would take to open the door to MacMullen playing both roles and getting her wish to play Nelle!
As much as we love Chloe Lanier in the part, there’s no denying that it’d be interesting to see MacMullen as a Nelle recast.
Other GH actors like Jon Lindstrom (Kevin Collins and ex-Ryan Chamberlain) and Finola Hughes (Anna Devane and ex-Alex Marick) have played twins, so maybe MacMullen could be next in line!
