General Hospital (GH) spoilers remind fans that Sam McCall’s time is running out in the land of Port Charles.
The portrayer’s mom, Carmina Monaco, hopped on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Friday, September 27 letting GH viewers know that Kelly Monaco officially filmed her final scenes with the soap that day.
As GH viewers know that the show films several weeks ahead of time, they also know that Sam’s days are numbered.
Monaco has created a bit of a stir in the aftermath of the news she’s leaving the show.
Most of it has been on social media.
The first one came via her Instagram account when she posted a photo of her and the late Billy Miller, on Sunday, September 15.
The caption on the photo implied she was going to tell their “side of the story” at some point soon.
This had fans reeling with speculation over what kind of information Kelly was going to drop, and how much more of a story there was when it came to the show letting her go.
Then, on October 1, which also happened to be the 21- anniversary of Sam McCall’s debut on GH, Monaco posted a comment on Soap Hub’s IG account that had fans buzzing.
The post highlighted an article about Days of Our Lives star, Greg Vaughan (Eric Brady) supporting Kelly.
An IG user commented on the post and hinted Monaco was let go from GH because she wouldn’t take a pay cut.
Monaco replied to the IG user’s comment, stating how Sam’s character was slowly “dismantled” over time after Miller was released from the soap.
She stated it was, “ … retaliation at it[s] finest”. She also vowed that she would give a “proper statement”, and the “truth will set you free.”
Kelly’s comment on that IG photo has since been deleted.
Fast forward to Sunday, October 6, and Kelly was stirring the social media pot once more!
Monaco posted a pic of her, along with Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Lee Grahn), Kate Mansi (Kristina Corinthos-Davis), and Kristen Vaganos (Molly Lansing-Davis). The caption read: “Last scene with the Davis girls. 😘🥲🙏🏻 still doesn’t make any sense to me.”
Interestingly enough, Grahn commented on the post.
She posts a quote from Albert Einstein, stating, “In the middle of every difficulty lies in opportunity.”
Grahn adds, “I love you. All will be well.”
She goes on to stay, “There are some things that TV mother just knows.”
Grahn added two heart emojis, a crying face emoji, and a spark emoji to close her comment.
It’s clear that Monaco isn’t happy about her GH release, and her character’s slated demise, but will fans get to hear Kelly’s full story, or will they continue to get cryptic social media captions and posts?
General Hospital spoilers suggest Sam is set to meet a grime fate, very soon. While fans have been speculating that it could be a river dive gone wrong (looking for that gun Alexis through over the bridge) that does her out?
The photo of Sam with her mom and sisters seem to indicate otherwise.
