In tonight’s Law & Order Organized Crime episode, an old informant disappeared. Her name was Rita Lasku. She was a young mother. She turned to Detective Elliot Stabler for help when he was undercover and he got her out of a bad situation.

He helped her start over. When he heard that she had disappeared, he was surprised to learn she was still in the city or she was until she disappeared. She never left New York. She was working as an escort. She got mixed up with one of her clients. He kidnapped her. She was gone and no one had any answers. This included Stabler.

Stabler had a lot of free time to dedicate to finding Rita. He had been suspended by the acting captain of his squad. There was an internal investigation. IAB was all over this.

The person in charge of it seemed like he wants to paint Stabler as unstable. Stabler knocked a kid unconscious after he pulled a gun. He didn’t target this kid. He didn’t try to arrest this kid. The kid had overheard Stabler shot his dad and he had tried to kill him. He didn’t get Stabler. Only he did shoot Sergeant Bell. Bell was still in the hospital by the way. And IAB didn’t seem to care.

Stabler at least checked up on Bell. She was doing great. She was on the road to recovery. He was leaving her hospital when Rita’s friend Heidi contacted him and she told him that Rita was missing.

Heidi even showed him the book he gave Rita. Heidi was another call girl. She told him where Rita was last seen. He flashed his badge around. He found out that Rita left the club and she got into a car that night. An expensive car. The witness said that Rita seemed to know the owner. And that was that.

Rita’s son was thankfully in London. Rita was supposed to join him. Only she didn’t want to go until she had gotten her act together. She wanted to save up enough money.

She wanted to be in a position where she could support her son without anyone helping. Its why she turned to prostitution. It’s known as the oldest profession for a reason. Rita’s friend said that a new client was nice. It was a worrying sign because there’s no way this man was going to take her out of a life of prostitution. This prompted Stabler to look through Rita’s things.

He found an old fashion camera. Rita had taken video of her new nice guy. She also was shown in a party house in Long Island and so Stabler went there. He got help from Vargas. Vargas wasn’t technically NYPD. He was simply a tech savant helping them update their system.

If he was willing to help Stabler then Stabler hadn’t technically broke the rules of his suspension. Stabler went to the party house. He found his suspect. He also found the Police Chief. The Nassau Police Chief threw him in the drunk tank for merely asking for a guest list of the party Rita attended.

She wouldn’t even let him question Noah Cahill. Noah was the guy with Rita in the video. He was very powerful in Long Island. The Police Chief wouldn’t touch him or question him. She had her cops warn off Stabler. They threaten to report him to his boss and that wouldn’t look good after his suspension.

Stabler pretended like he was ready to drop the matter only he ended up going to a nearby diner. The diner was close to the party house. Some stranglers might have come in for breakfast. Stabler showed Rita’s picture around to ask if anyone saw her that night.

They didn’t. They just noticed she looked awfully like this missing girl. The missing girl’s name is Christine Olston. She lived in Long Island. She was saving up to buy an expensive prom dress and she worked at that diner. She wasn’t making enough money there. She took a catering gig off of craigslist at the party house.

It’s the last place where she was seen. Making it two girls that look alike disappearing after a night at that house. What happened there? Was someone harming these women?

Stabler went to Christine’s home to talk to her parents. They had no idea what their daughter might have gotten involved in. Christine’s brother knew that his sister had a secret phone. She left it at the house that night. He gave the phone to Stabler. Stabler had Vargas figure out who called that number. It was just the one number that made the calls. Stabler called that number. He heard someone breathing heavily after they answered it and then they hung up. Stabler later got a message from that number. It showed Rita being tied to a chair.

Stabler tried driving back to the party house. He didn’t have a plan or anything. He just needed answers and he would probably would have beaten it out of Cahill if Westbrooke police didn’t stop him.

He was taken back to the Police Chief. He showed her the video. He said two women are in danger. He told her that if she really wanted to help that she had to get her tech squad on it. Stabler meanwhile wasn’t going to wait around for answers from her. He had Vargas check that phone. And its message.

Whoever sent it had gotten rid of the phone they used to make it. They also didn’t hide certain markers about where the women are being held. They were being hidden in an underground WWII bunker. There was one nearby to the party house. Stabler went alone in spite of his old team coming out to help him. He told them to stay back because he didn’t want to risk their careers. He went alone. He got to the bunker. He found Christine. He also fought the guy that took her and that guy got away in the end. And so Stabler asked Christine about Rita.

Rita was dead. She was already dead by time her killer sent that message. The Westbrooke Police Chief sent out a team and they working with Stabler’s people found about four other bodies out there. Their killer was a serial killer. And Stabler found his dumping ground.

THE END!
