In tonight’s Law & Order: Organized Crime episode, Detective Elliott Stabler was still undercover with a heroin operation. He had to maintain that cover at all costs. He couldn’t even mourn his friend. He had to bury Sam Bashir’s body like it was nothing and he just couldn’t do it. He confronted Angus Boone about Sam.
Only he didn’t use his name. He said he saw the victim’s tattoos. He recognized this person as a marine and he didn’t want to be involved in the murder of his fellow soldier. Tyler said that the man stopped being a marine when he became a cop. Stabler was starting to suspect that he never served. He said as much. Boone told Tyler to walk it off. And then he spoke to Stabler.
Boone said they don’t kill marines. They had nothing to do with Sam’s body. They only do things in self defense he claimed and it still didn’t explain why they covered up the body. The man has a family. His family won’t be able to bury him according to his faith if they don’t get the body back.
Boone pretended not to care about that when truthfully he does care. He didn’t kill Sam. He also didn’t order Sam’s death. Boone was in business with drug dealers and they killed Sam because that’s who they are.
Boone was actually torn up about killing a marine. He talked to his mother. They discussed how they only got in business with these people because the farm was going under.
They were in debt. They were going to lose everything when Boone made this deal. This same deal he now regrets. He just doesn’t have a way out of the situation. He has to keep going. Boone talked to Stabler about going to a military support group in town. He thought it would help clear Stabler’s head. Stabler did end up going to the meeting.
Stabler used that meeting as a front to finally talk to Sergeant Bell. He told her as best he could that Sam was dead. He buried Sam’s body on enemy territory and someone has to break the news to his family.
Bell later decided to do it herself. Her team had heard the conversation. They weren’t doing so well either. They recently lost another detective who had been a friend. Sam was new to the team, but they were getting to know him. They even liked him. Jet went with Bell to break the news. She didn’t want to leave Bell alone during this trying time.
Reyes and Vargas went looking for the body. Stabler was able to place a holder there to guide them to it. They found it. They dug up Sam’s body. They brought him home to the city. His wife wasn’t taking the news well. She was in the hospital. She was supposed to be there for her pregnancy.
She also wasn’t supposed to experience stress only nothing breaks the heart like losing a spouse. The team was dealing with the tragedy. Vargas also later had to bail Randall Stabler out of jail. He was trespassing.
Randall was looking for their brother, Joey. Joey was doing drugs. He was putting himself at risk. Randall wanted to save him and so he broke into his office to see what Joey got up to. He got caught. He was sent to a holding cell inside at police headquarters when Vargas came to the rescue.
He posted bail. He also gave Randall a ride back to his mother’s new place. Vargas explained that Stabler was on a case. He can’t make contact right now. Vargas only knew about Randall being in prison because he has an alert on the Stabler name. Just in case Stabler gets in trouble.
Stabler meanwhile ran into an ally. This ally was ATF. She’s been under for four months. She wasn’t after Angus Boone. She wanted “Redcoat”. Julian Emery was Boone’s silent partner. Boone took all the risk. Emery reaps the reward. He was the money guy and it was his people that killed Sam. The ATF Agent didn’t care about the drugs. S
he wanted Emory. Which was bound to be hard because Boone wanted to get away from that man as fast as possible. He was looking for an out and Hightower disappearing could give him one.
Hightower disappeared because Stabler’s people got to him first. Stabler took out Hightower. He didn’t want Boone to know that yet. Hightower was arrested. Boone figured an agency has him. He thought now was the time to get out of his business arrangement. He agreed to meet with his silent partner.
They originally met when Boone was in Europe doing contract work. The money man agreed to help Boone in return Boone opens up his farm for drugs. Well, Boone was sick of the arrangement.
He wanted out. He took Stabler with him to a meeting with Redcoat. Only Redcoat never showed. He sent others in his place. They came armed. Boone also went fully armed because they weren’t sure Boone’s offer would be accepted and they weren’t wrong. Boone came with enough money to buy up his debt with Redcoat.
Redcoat just didn’t care. He like their business arrangement as it is and he was willing to kill Boone to force the farm to keep working with him. And so when they tried to kill Boone, all that did was anger him.
Boone has officially declared war on his silent partner and the cops followed the people that tried to kill them. It led to a warehouse that was a factory for imported wine. Unfortunately, Randall was seen breaking into that warehouse as he tried to get information on his brother. And so now he’s in danger.
And when the cops searched the warehouse, it was deserted. The bad guys moved everything. The one thing they couldn’t hide was Sam’s blood. Their best bet on getting answers was finding Joey.
THE END!
