In tonight’s LPBW episode, it was warming up outside. It was almost motorcycle weather. Chris was eager to go back on his motorcycle after so many cold months. He hated being cooped up inside.

He wanted to travel. He thought the weather was perfect for it and he was also interested in visiting the farm. Chris was interested in the new house. He loves seeing new buildings go.

He has this strange relationship with his wife’s ex-husband where they talk about everything. He and Matt hit it off really well. They were good friends. Chris didn’t mind visiting him. Matt didn’t mind inviting him over. They both seemed to enjoy each other’s company.

Still, it was weird for Amy. She thought her selling her shares in the farm would mean she has limited contact with Matt, but its years later and they’re still butting heads.

Amy was throwing a fundraiser with her new husband. It was Chris’s idea to have it on the farm. The farm was a great venue. They also knew they could get a great price for it.

It was just that Amy didn’t know how to work with Matt. She wanted things done her way. Matt wanted things done his way. They constantly butt heads and they did that even when it wasn’t about the fundraiser.

Chris took Amy out on a motorcycle to the farm. Matt was eager to show off the construction site for the new house. He wanted Amy’s thought about it. Amy couldn’t help make certain comments that Matt thought she was nitpicking. Only Amy remembered what it was like living through all that construction.

She raised four small kids through constant reconstruction of their house. They had to live with the noise as well as all the dust. It would drive her batty if she ever had to live through another construction. She was happy at her new house because it didn’t need any work.

Chris wouldn’t mind construction because he loves the idea of making something his own. He loved touring Matt’s construction site. He came to see Matt’s vision of the place.

Matt asked their ideas about it and Chris was fine with talking it out with him. Amy didn’t want to give an opinion. Not officially anyways. She thought it was his and Caryn’s place.

She thought it would be odd if she helped him choose anything. Amy backed away and Caryn understood why. Caryn knows its difficult for Amy to have Chris and Matt be so close.

Caryn was a very understanding girlfriend. She and Matt have been together for years. They’ve talked about marriage for a while and they decided that it doesn’t matter if they ever get married.

They could get married tomorrow or stay dating for the next ten years. Caryn never pressured Matt into anything. It’s why Matt ultimately felt it was time to propose. He got a ring. They traveled to Arizona when he asked her if he had to get down on one knee to propose and she said she didn’t want him hurting himself. And so that’s when he sprung out the ring.

It was a very Matt proposal. He told all his kids about it afterwards. He heard back from three of them. The only one that didn’t respond was Zach and Matt figured it was because Zach was busy dealing with the three kids. What went unsaid was that their relationship was still fractured. They worked together for years.

Zach seemed like he got his dad until he tried to buy into the farm. Zach thought he should get a good deal as the only child that was interested in the farm and Matt wanted someone who would take the farm seriously as a business. Those two butt heads. Their relationship hasn’t been the same since.

Matt was lucky in that he had a thick skin.

Chris was one of the first few to congratulate Matt and Caryn in person. He was happy for them. Chris kinda got the idea that Matt was going to propose on one of their guy nights.

He saw that proposal coming and he was glad he had been right. He thought the two made a great couple. All of three of them laughed about Chris possibly being Matt’s best man.

They all knew that Amy would never allow that. She also didn’t want to go to the wedding. She didn’t invite Matt and Caryn to her wedding to Chris. And she didn’t want to go to their wedding out of respect for the kids.

Amy thought it would be awkward for the kids. Chris was still interested in going to the bachelor party though. He and Matt talked about it. They thought it would be fun.

Amy wasn’t as enthusiastic. She didn’t want Chris to go. She wouldn’t encourage Chris to go. She felt he’s been to enough bachelor parties. He doesn’t need any more experience.

She loves that Chris try new things and she knows better than to let Chris use that against her. He couldn’t convince her that a bachelor party was a new adventure no matter how hard he tried.

Zach meanwhile wanted to do something nice for his son, Jackson. Jackson was preschool age. He was interested in soccer like his dad and he was starting to notice that he was different to the other boys.

The other boys have started making comments. Like he’s too short for soccer. Zach invited Jackson’s soccer friends and their parents over to his house for a BBQ. Jackson played a few games with them.

He then suddenly stopped. He sat down and he didn’t want to play anymore. He told his parents that his friends said he was too short to play. And they helped convince Jackson that it doesn’t matter about win or lose.

They were happy as long as he was having fun. Jackson rejoined the game. He forgave his friends and he had fun. He wasn’t really good at soccer, but he had fun.

THE END!
