In tonight’s NCIS episode, an old Navy ship was getting recycled. They were going to turn it into an artificial reef. It was going to become a part of the sea and become a habitat for wildlife. It was going to be a great thing. Only the company behind it ran into some issues.
They were giving a tour of the old navy ship when they came across a body. Than another body. Than a third body. Three people were killed and dumped on the ship. The ship was no longer operated by navy personnel. It was sold to the company called Aquabitat. The company had the ship at a local dockyard. It was guarded by one man.
It turns out the guy went on a bathroom break. During his break, someone boarded the ship with three bodies and dumped them there. The guy from Aquabitat thought it was a mob dumping ground. He blamed the whole thing on the dock owner. He also was very upset about the tv interview.
They found the bodies during a tv interview. He was giving tour to the host. The tv show became all about the bodies and not about the artificial reef. The tv show host even had to apologize to the audience because he cursed live on air.
No one knew those bodies were there until they found them together. NCIS was called in because now people were connecting a navy ship to the mob. They came.
They started investigating. They identified one of the victims as Thomas Mackin. He was reported missing by his wife. She called when he never made it home after his business trip. She said her husband has a gambling problem. He tried to hide it from her and she found out about it. And she didn’t like it. She said his bookie was Sammy. Sammy ran a food truck called Sloppy Joe’s Sammy.
Torres and McGee looked into Sammy. Knight and Parker went back to the ship. They were looking for evidence when they got attacked and locked inside of the ship.
It came after Knight had a horrible argument with Jimmy. Jimmy didn’t take it well when he heard she was offered a job promotion. The promotion was on the other side of the country. Knight applied for the position once she lost her REACT team. It was just coming through now after a few years. Knight didn’t accept it right away because she wanted to discuss it with Jimmy first.
But Jimmy got upset when he heard about it. He said already lost Breena. He lost Gibbs. He lost Ducky. His teenage daughter was pulling away from him and so of course Knight was going to leave him too. He mentioned he wanted to be in control the next time a relationship ended.
He did his best to push Knight away. She didn’t know what to do. Should she take the job? She turned down the last job opportunity to stay with Jimmy. Jimmy couldn’t keep expecting her to do that and that’s why he’s pushing her away.
Knight was discussing it with Parker when they got attacked. They were locked inside of the ship. They might be stuck there when the ship explodes and to make matters worst Parker’s leg had gotten trapped. Knight took forever freeing him. She managed to do it by getting angry at Jimmy.
It brought out her She-Hulk skills. She moved the beam that was on Parker’s leg only that’s when his leg started bleeding. He had been punctured somewhere on his leg. They had to stop the bleed or he could die before help arrived.
Luckily, their team did wonder where they were. Torres and McGee were able to rule out the bookie. Thomas had cleaned out the bookie during playoffs and so Sammy owed him money.
Money he no longer has to pay now that Thomas was dead. Which was a motive. It just didn’t lead anywhere. Sammy had nothing against the other two victims. The other two were a homeless man and a teacher. They have nothing in common. Sammy didn’t even know the others. He also had an alibi. He wasn’t their killer.
McGee and Torres later found evidence that the female teacher knew Tommy. They have photos together. The photos were ripped up and so their relationship ended on a sour note.
The agents stopped looking into the victims when they heard that two of their own were missing. They started looking for them. Their car was parked right in front of Sammy’s house. Someone was truly trying to frame him for the murders. The only person who kept pointing them in his direction was Thomas’s wife. The now widow. The same one that reported him missing.
The wife must have found out about his affair with the teacher. She killed them both. She might have just killed homeless guy who was an accidental witness.
The agents went to talk to her. Jimmy went with them. He was concerned about Knight. He didn’t want his last words to her being a breakup. He was really sorry about what he said. He didn’t realize until afterwards that he made her promotion all about him. He didn’t even congratulate her or anything and so he wanted the chance to make it right with her.
The agents found the wife. Molly was trying to leave town. She was with her uncle, the dock owner. It was his idea to stash the bodies on the ship. His niece killed her husband’s lover.
He then killed her husband. They were driving to the dockyard when they hit the homeless man. They ditch all the bodies on the ship. He only realized later on that he left his watch on the ship. He went back for it and that’s when he ran into the agents. The uncle locked them in the engine room. Both niece and uncle were arrested. The agents went back to the ship and they rescued everyone.
Parker lost a lot of blood. He was taken to a hospital where he woke up. He was going to be fine. Knight tried to ask him who was Lily? Parker called out for Lily when he almost died. He saw her. He remembered her. He pretended like he didn’t know what Knight was talking about and so he gets to keep his secrets for now.
And Knight took the job promotion.
