On the cusp of NCIS airing its 1,000th show next week, CBS has made it official, announcing that the primetime series has been renewed for Season 22 – 2024/2025.
Not overly shocking news, considering NCIS’s popularity. Not only has the show been in the top 20 for 18 seasons now, but it’s also been TV’s top drama for five seasons in a row.
In fact, the series ranks as the #2 entertainment show this past season, only behind CBS’s new primetime drama, Tracker.
News On Other “NCIS” Franchise Shows
Still, while NCIS is returning for its 22nd Season, there’s been no news on one of its spin-offs, NCIS: Hawai’i. So far, Hawai’i has had three seasons and is seemingly doing good, but it’s hard to say if it’ll get picked up for a fourth season.
If CBS does renew NCIS: Hawai’i, this would mark three NCIS shows from the franchise returning to the network. Only time will tell, so fans need to stay tuned to this site, as more news comes down the pipe.
When Is “NCIS’s” Season 21 Finale?
With weeks away until NCIS airs its Season 21 finale, which happens on Monday, May 6, the show only has a few more episodes to wrap things up and set up new storylines for Season 22.
As of this writing, there’s little information about what will unfold during NCIS’s last show for Season 21; however, fans can only anticipate an explosive cliffhanger. With that being said, keep checking this site as spoilers for NCIS’s Season 21 finale should be released, soon.
In the meantime, fans can look forward to the 1,000th episode, (See Video Preview Below) airing on CBS during its regularly scheduled timeslot of Monday, April 15 at 9 p.m. (ET). Season 22’s debut has not been confirmed as of yet, but will likely air on the network, sometime in the fall, later this year.
