On tonight’s S.W.A.T. season 7 episode 3 called “Good for Nothing”” as per the CBS synopsis, “The team heads to Mexico to escort a fugitive back to the States when things go awry and Hondo has to save an old witness who tied to the case, in the season seven premiere.”

Street was on assignment in a different county. Luca was training in a different country. The team wasn’t what it used to be. There were new faces and these new faces didn’t want to follow tradition. Take the traditional SWAT Pasta Night. Alfaro tried to talk out of it. Powell tried to skip it. Even Cabrera wanted to pass. She was the nicest of the three and she didn’t seen interested in a get together. Deacon was doing his best to tell them it was too much of tradition to pass up when they caught a case. Technically, it was Hondo who caught the case. Hondo was having lunch with Nichelle when he heard gunshots from nearby.
Someone was shooting up a dispensary a block away. Hondo responded to the scene. He had Nichelle call for backup and warn a plain clothes officer was first to respond, but help didn’t arrive until after the bad guys made off with a female hostage. These men were Japanese. They move like a hit squad. They must have grabbed the Japanese woman. The woman’s name was Suki Ito. She was walking with her boyfriend when she noticed she was being followed. She took her boyfriend into the dispensary hoping they would be safe there.
Unfortunately, the Yami-Yami crime family wanted her so badly they killed several that got in the way. They made off with Suki. Suki’s boyfriend Cameron was then questioned. He said they’ve been dating six months and he doesn’t know that much about her other than that she was from Japan. The one thing Suki told him not to do he did. She told him to never post her photo on social media. Cameron wanted to show her off and so he couldn’t wait to post a photo of his hot girlfriend. He realized later on that she asked him to do that because she was hiding from someone.
Suki wasn’t her real name. Her ID, passport, and social security number were all fake. They were very expensive fakes. They were so good that it could fool anyone. Only Suki was a means to an end. Not their true target. The yakuza grabbed her to get closer to their real target. Suki was brought back to her apartment. She was forced to make a phone call from a hidden cell phone before she was killed. The maid had been there. She hid in a closet when she heard people coming in that didn’t sound like Suki.
The maid overheard everything. She said that they made Suki tell someone to meet her at the Hollywood Cemetery at 1:30. It was a trap for someone. SWAT showed up at the meeting. They killed one of the guys from the yakuza. Hondo had taken down one earlier. There was three left of the yakuza that came to the United States to collect someone. The yakuza didn’t want to kill the man they lured to the cemetery. They wanted to bring him back to Japan with them. Most of the Yakuza were run off in a shootout with SWAT. They then asked the man they saved what this was all about.
The man’s ID said Timoki Kaito. It just wasn’t his real name. He was in a Night Moving program. It was a designer witness protection program run out of Japan. Suki whose real name was Kamiko ran the program. She helped get people out of Japan. Her boyfriend posting her picture told everyone her whereabouts. The yakuza found her. They forced her to lure Timoki in. Timoki must be important. SWAT questioned him and he refused to break. He didn’t want to admit his real name or why the yakuza were looking for him.
SWAT had to get in contact with Japan to find out who he was. He was former yakuza. There was no retirement plan from the yakuza and so people wanted to force him home. They even grabbed his family to force him to come to them. Timoki has a wife and son. Nami and Sogo. They were grabbed. Timoki then said he was an enforcer for the Yami-Yami. He stayed loyal when Orochi took over. Orochi was once his mentee. Timoki was hard on him. He thought he was teaching him the code they live by and all it did was make Orochi resentful.
Orochi was one of the new men in Japan. The younger generation didn’t believe in the code. They believed violence was the answer to everything and Orochi ordered Timoki to kill a pregnant woman. It went against the code they used to live by. Timoki knew Orochi would send another after the women if he failed. Its why he contacted a Night Mover. He and Nami came to the United States. Her son was born. Timoki has been looking after them ever since. Only him leaving like that made Orochi look weak. Like he’d tolerate such disrespect.
Orochi now has to make an example out of Timoki to regain respect. The yakuza called Timoki. They told him they have his family and will let them go if he turns himself in. They double-crossed him. They never planned on letting either Nami or Sogo go. Orochi wanted to make an example out of all of them. They didn’t know that Timoki came to the meet with SWAT as backup. Timoki helped Nami get away with Sogo. It then became an open shootout until SWAT arrested all the yakuza. They also arrested Timoki for the crimes he committed in Japan.
Timoki was being transferred home. He agreed to testify against Orochi, but he will still have to serve time and so he said goodbye to his family tonight.
And SWAT agreed to cancel Pasta Night. Deacon decided to stop forcing tradition. It was great news because Nichelle had some news of her own. Nichelle told Hondo she cleared her name. She was accused of taking a bribes at work because her signature were on the forms and it turns out it happened when she wasn’t there. She was at her baby’s christening. It was also when Hondo proposed to her. They were now married. They also have lots of witnesses to clear Nichelle’s name. The guy taking the bribe was proved to be Bruce who had been a friend before all of this.
