In tonight’s S.W.A.T. episode, two young men were grabbed outside of a club. They tried to sneak it through the back by bribing the bouncer at that door. He turned them down. He saw their fake IDs as the fakes they were. He told them to go back to the line at the front door. No sooner did he say that a van came into the back alleyway.

Three people rushed out of the van. They abducted the two students at gunpoint. The bouncer even suffered injuries when he tried to defend them. He was the one that called the cops and Hondo was the first responder. He lived in the area where the van that abducted the kids was spotted. He quickly found the vehicle. And forced it off the road.

The kids were no longer in the back of the van. Hondo checked. The driver also ran out. He was trying to escape on foot. He was armed and shooting back at Hondo.

Hondo eventually shot him. He shot him in a crowded area. Naturally, the crowd tried to claim that Hondo was in the wrong. They first claimed he shot an unarmed man and that lasted until the shooter’s gun was found near the body. Hondo called for an ambulance. He stayed with the suspect as long as he could. His first priority was the two missing boys.

SWAT didn’t know where the boys were. The shooter was hospitalized. Meaning he’s not talking. The shooting was also posted on social media. It reminded Tan of what happened with Buck. When Buck shot an unarmed kid, it was an accident. The kid was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Buck still lost his job because of it. The squad was left fractured afterwards and so he didn’t find it funny that Hondo’s shooting was on social media. It actually triggered him. He was still dealing with the trauma of what happened to Buck. He didn’t want anything to happen to Hondo as well.

The search of the boys though picked up. They identified both kids. The boys were Josh Wolf and Cole Raysitch. Cole’s family was working class. Josh’s father JP was a billionaire. He ran Wolf Petrol Chemical. This was important because JP received a ransom demand for the boys.

JP told Cole’s family that his people have the whole thing under control and that they would safely find the boys. They received a ransom demand. Cole’s family thought the plan was to pay it. They were wrong. They contacted the police when they stopped hearing from Wolf’s people.

The people that grabbed the boys weren’t after a simple ransom. They were ecoterrorists. They demanded that JP stop destroying the earth with his evil company. JP wasn’t going do that. He was asked to pay a ransom as well as stopping all productions from the company. Only JP wasn’t going to do any of that. The whole stopping his company was completely out of the picture for him. It was the source of his wealth. He wasn’t going to give that up for Josh or Cole. He instead had his people look into their whereabouts.

Josh technically has a bodyguard. He just didn’t want a bodyguard. He ditched his tracker. He escaped through his dorm room window. He did everything possible to ditch his bodyguard and so the bodyguard was fired after Josh was abducted. He couldn’t speak about his employers.

He signed an NDA that was still in effect. He did hear the tail end of the ransom demand. He’s the one that told the police that it was Green Rebellion that grabbed the boys. SWAT looked into Green Rebellion. They threw a bunch of Molotov cocktails to destroy a company and they injured several people.

The cops went to a location that was used for their Green Rebellion post on social media. It turns out it was a ruse. They also got into contact with JP’s people that also fell for the ruse.

After that, Caroline Wolf showed up at SWAT headquarters. She said her husband was refusing to pay the ransom because he didn’t want to negotiate with terrorists. She didn’t care about his ego. She just wanted her son back. The terrorists knew that Caroline went to the cops. They cut off Josh’s pinky and they sent it to the police.

SWAT was able to track the person that dropped it off. They knew he was using a psychiatric hospital that’s been closed for years. They went to the building and they found Cole. It didn’t take Hondo long before he started poking holes into Cole’s story. Cole wasn’t a victim. He was another terrorist.

He’s the one that set up Josh. Cole became concerned about the environment when he tutored kids in English in Bangladesh. He saw what Wolfe’s company did to that country. He wanted to stop it and as luck would have it – he ended up getting accepted into the same school as Josh.

Cole set up Josh. Hondo pushed Cole into revealing that. The kid couldn’t wait to brag about how he was saving the world. With him identified, it didn’t take long for Alfaro to identify the others. He also learned that this wasn’t their first kidnapping. They kidnapped the daughter of another polluting billionaire.

The father refused to pay and so the girl was killed and dumped in one of the fields of her father’s company. They were hoping to do the same with Josh. They changed things up with Josh. They brought him to his father’s company. They shot their way onto the executive floor. And they were going to livestream Josh’s final moments as a way of hurting JP.

SWAT showed up. They saved Josh’s life. They killed most of the terrorists. Only one got away. There was also beef between Alfaro and Tan and Powell. Powell told Tan about Alfaro being ambitious. Tan took things too far when he accused Alfaro of using Hondo’s shooting as a way to move up through the ranks. It was Alfaro that identified the other terrorists. And the only one willing to acknowledge his achievement was Hondo.

The same Hondo that the whole of LA believes shot an unarmed man and planted a gun on him. His own neighbors wouldn’t even talk to him.

THE END!
