Shemar Moore Comments On CBS Reversing Their Decision To Cancel S.W.A.T.

It has to feel like Ground Hog Day (in the best way possible) for fans of S.W.A.T. After learning that CBS was going to cancel the show after this season; however, it looks like the network has once again changed its mind and is renewing the series for Season 8.

As not only the star of S.W.A.T. but the show’s executive producer, Shemar Moore had a lot to say about CBS going back on their decision to call it quits on the primetime drama.

Despite CBS releasing the news about S.W.A.T.’s series finale taking place Friday, May 17 on the network, Shemar Moore continued to encourage fans of the show to stay positive; even as the date drew closer.

Still, after CBS dropped the “best news ever” for S.W.A.T., its viewer base, recently, along with the cast and crew of the show. Shemar Moore jumped on social media to comment on the announcement.

Of course, he brought his castmates along for the ride, too!

Shemar Moore’s Heartfelt IG Speech

The reel shows Moore with his S.W.A.T. cast and crew, as he gives a heartfelt speech. He starts by saying that when he first got the S.W.A.T. gig, it was a dream job, seven years it’s still a dream job.

He goes on to say that it’s hard as heck sometimes, but worth it. Moore also joked about not racing at the wrap party because he wants to “save his body” for 22 episodes during S.W.A.T.’s Season 8.

He added in the speech that he told them all before Christmas after filming, that even though they thought they were done, they should all work as hard as if they weren’t done … and here they are again, with Season 8!
