On tonight’s Sister Wives episode, Kody’s underestimated Janelle. He thought she’d just leave. He thought she’d move away and that would be that. Kody now realizes that his ex wasn’t going away quietly.

She’s been his wife for over thirty years. She wasn’t leaving until she got what she was owed and she knew exactly what she was owed. She’s been his bookkeeper for years.

She knew all about his finances. He was not going to ruin her credit score on Coyote Pass and leave her with nothing. She also advised Meri about how the divorce was going. Meri also owns a stake in the property as well. Kody either has to buy them out or sell the property entirely.

Meri wasn’t even thinking about Coyote Pass. She was set on moving back to Utah. She was going to move into the house she owns there and she’s already renovated it so that she could work from home. Meri was so done with Kody that Janelle reaching out to her came as surprise.

They weren’t close. Their common link was first Kody then the kids. Janelle was now bringing up the property they owned in Arizona because Meri technically owned one quarter of its value. She thought Meri should enlist a lawyer. And Meri viewed it differently.

Meri still thought Kody was going to be a gentleman about the finances. He’s been telling her for years that Janelle was holding the purse strings. Now Janelle said she was just the bookkeeper. It was actually Kody pulling all the strings and he was already trying to screw Janelle out of the property.

She went to Meri because her conscience wouldn’t allow her to not warn Meri. Meri could do whatever she want with the information. Janelle said her peace and she was left hoping Meri wouldn’t tell Kody about their conversation because she really didn’t want things to get ugly.

Janelle has tried talking to Kody about the finances. He’s always been creative. He had to be to raise such a large family. Things were different now because most of his kids were grown up. There was no reason for him to still be creative and he was anyways because now he’s trying to hide the money.

Christine didn’t care about the property or what she was owed. She left Kody a while ago. She’s already met someone else and she was now buying a house with David. They were moving in together. They were looking at rings too because they were also planning on getting engaged.

Christine and David have known each other for less than six months. They talked about moving in together after about five weeks. They talked about getting married after two months. Their relationship was happening quite fast and that was typical in David’s family.

His dad proposed to his mom after knowing her for a week. By those standards, David and Christine were moving at snail pace. They thought that was funny when they think about it. Christine’s kids on the other side of the same issue felt the relationship was rushed.

They like David. They just wanted the couple to slow down and Christine was too busy speeding ahead. David was now officially a family member. He was there at the bridal shower for her daughter, Gwendolyn. He met Janelle’s kids. Kody was also that party.

Janelle wanted to come, but her daughter Maddie was due soon. Janelle needed to be with her daughter when she goes into labor. Janelle was lucky she got to miss out on the drama. Kody and Robyn went to the party. Meri also went to the party. They were all told about David. And the peace was kept by everyone staying in separate corners.

The bridal shower was also a tattoo party. Gwen was bisexual. She’s marrying a woman. She knows she’s doing things differently and she’s leaning into that. Kody was being understanding. Moriah helped pave the way. Kody’s daughter Moriah came out first and the toughest part in doing that was Meri.

Meri’s only child was gay. She used to think that Moriah getting married to a man would mean she finally got the son she always wanted. So, she needed time to adjust. The mother and daughter relationship hasn’t been the same since and Meri was currently holidaying on her own or with friends. She and her daughter don’t celebrate anything together.

Moriah also didn’t show up at the bridal party. She seems MIA on most family occasions. Kody also took issue with David. David was talking to Kody and Robyn with Christine at his side. He was saying that he also has a large family. He has eight kids. His oldest child was thirty-four.

His oldest grandchild was thirteen. David was super comfortable around Christine’s kids and grandkids. He also noticed that Kody kept getting red during their conversation. He got red when David said he babysat Kody’s new grandkids.

Kody got red when Chrstine laid her head on David. Kody also said in his confessional that he felt David kept talking to Robyn and not to him. The last one really upset him. The man already got one of his views. He seemed threatened whenever David talked to Robyn.

THE END!
