In tonight’s sister wives episode, Christine and David moved in together. They knew by that point that they wanted to get married. They didn’t mind that everyone thought they were rushing into the relationship.

They felt ready for what they had and they soon had their kids over at the new house when they officially got engaged. Christine has a ring now. The couple designed the engagement ring together.

Their kids still thought everything was happening quite fast, but one of Christine’s daughters said she never realized how unhappy her mom was with Kody until she saw her with David. David seemed to be exactly what Christine needed.

Christine was raised in a polygamist family. She then chose that for herself as an adult. She married Kody as his third wife and she made it work for her. She tried everything to make it work.

They went to therapy. The wives all got their own houses. Nothing worked. Christine eventually realized that nothing could make the marriage work. She divorced Kody and now she was starting a new life with David. Their children were happy that they were happy. The new house has room for everyone. They could celebrate the holidays at the new place.

Kody’s ex-wives were all finding a new path forward. Christine fell in love with someone. Meri was enjoying her independence. Janelle was focusing on her life with her grandkids. They were all moving on and Kody has accepted that he’s now a monogamist. He was such a monogamist that he couldn’t even joke with Meri about her backing into him because he felt that could hurt Robyn.

Yeah, he was that dedicated to respecting Robyn. He didn’t do that with any of the other wives. The thing with Meri backing into him was a simple mistake that freaked Kody out because he thought of Robyn.

Kody has been prioritizing Robyn’s feelings for years now. It’s why she’s the last wife standing. Kody wants to focus on his life with Robyn and their kids and its created problems.

His other children weren’t talking to him. Janelle was fighting with him over money. Kody used to tell Janelle that he was never attracted to Christine. He’d put down Christine sometimes directly. He was a jerk. He got angry at Janelle for telling Christine things when he really shouldn’t have said anything at all. He badmouths his exes to his current wives.

He badmouthed Christine to Janelle. He badmouthed Janelle to Meri. He badmouthed Meri to Robyn. He doesn’t give anyone a reason to trust him and the fact that Meri still does was confusing. Meri believed Kody when he said that Janelle controlled the purse strings.

The family’s money was all put into one fund. Janelle was the bookkeeper, but Kody controlled the money. He was now in charge of the debt from Coyote Pass. He has to pay it soon or they risk defaulting and losing the property. This was what Janelle wanted to talk to him about.

Kody has been ignoring her the best he could. He claimed he has the money to make the next payment. Only he doesn’t show Janelle the proof. She’s just supposed to believe in her ex-husband. He also doesn’t mention if he has enough to buy her out of the property and Meri should be worried about that too.

Kody’s ex-wives helped him build his business. They deserved a portion of the fund. They should also have their shares in the new property bought out by Kody. Kody was playing nice to Meri now so that she wouldn’t push him on the finances like Janelle does.

Meri left Arizona on tonight’s episode. She went back to Utah. Kody and his brother helped her move. Robyn stopped by the house to say goodbye to Meri.

Some in the family always felt that Robyn manipulates Meri. Its why Meri has never been angry with Robyn. Not even when she deserves it. This was why Kody said Meri was his favorite ex-wife. It’s also why Kody helped her move. Meri was so done with the family that she was ready to start over somewhere else and the only one that seemed sad about that was Robyn. Robyn cried when Meri left.

When they arrived in Utah, Meri said her final goodbyes to Kody. It was heartfelt goodbyes. Kody cried when he said goodbye. He said it was the end of an era and it made Meri remember that it didn’t have to be. Kody pushed Meri away. He’s been doing that for nearly ten years. He finally finished doing so when Meri chose to leave on her own.

He helped her move. They were saying goodbye when he finally left the anger stage. He was angry with the other wives for leaving. He lashed out at them. And it was different with Meri.

Kody said he finally was treating it as a loss. He didn’t know it, but he annoyed Meri. Meri wanted him to treat her with kindness for years and now he wants to do it. Now that they’re divorced. Now that their only child doesn’t seem to be in communication with either of them. Kody being upset now was an insult.

THE END!
