In tonight’s Station 19 episode, Jack was in danger. He suffered one too many head injuries. He collapsed after the last hit. He had to be rushed to the hospital and he needed brain surgery. Dr. Amelia Shepherd performed the surgery. She was the lead neurosurgeon at Grey Sloane Memorial. Jack was therefore in the best hands.

He made it through surgery. They just have to wait and see if he wakes up during recovery. Jack along with others had all been at a fundraiser when a dance floor collapsed underneath them.

Several people died. This included Michael Dixon. Station 19 hated this guy, but they never wished for his death and it sucks that he became the media’s priority. They talked about him nonstop. They even mentioned Fire Chief Ross’s sex scandal as well.

Leave it to media to still bring up the sex scandal. There were plenty of people that’ve slept to the top. Sullivan literally slept to the middle and he should never have been demoted to probie in the first place.

He was once Battalion Fire Chief in the department. He had risen through the ranks. He made mistakes and he went to rehab for them. He’s clean now. There should have been some leeway for that. They should never have been demoted to the lowest position imaginable. They did that because he was a black man. They wanted to make an example out of a black man with a drug addiction.

Ross promoted him back up to lieutenant. This happened before they slept together. They had merely been friends at the time and so the sex scandal was less scandal and more buddy system.

Ross was also in the hospital. She nearly died herself. She was supposed to take it easy and she couldn’t do that. She knew that the new Mayor might fire her. She has to be seen working in spite of her hospitalization or else she’ll look weak. Someone too weak to run the department. Ross said as much to Sullivan.

Sullivan wanted her to take it easy. They were in love. They were finally happy and together. Sullivan didn’t care what happened next. Only Mayor Osman stopped by the hospital. He wanted to speak to

Ross alone. Sullivan gave them the room. He had wanted to stay and Osman had directly asked for this to be a private conversation. Odds are it wasn’t going to be good news. The Mayor has probably got calls about all the deaths. Dixon was high up in the Seattle Police Department. He was also once his opponent in the mayoral race.

Osman has to be seen like he’s taking the tragedy seriously. It’s just no one has mentioned the other victims. There was a pregnant woman that died in that building and her baby survived. Carina fell in love with that baby. She and Maya discussed adopting him. Most of Station 19 was at the hospital waiting on news for Jack.

They heard he made it through the surgery. They wanted to be there when he woke up. Sullivan was talking to Ben about Ross possibly getting fired because of him. He wasn’t sure if their relationship would work if that happens.

Sullivan wasn’t sure if Ross could forgive him if that happens. Montgomery was the only one not at the hospital. He had been with Dixon when he died and so he tried to tell Dixon’s family his last message.

Dixon had made Montgomery promise to tell his son that he loves him. Emmett was back in town for the funeral. His mom was being weird. She was being really upbeat and it only took a turn for the darkside when she told Montgomery that he killed her husband. Emmett told his mom to stop. And then he asked what really happened that night.

Montgomery told Emmett about his father’s final words. Emmett wasn’t in a good place to hear them. His father didn’t accept him being gay for the longest time and Dixon regretted that because he knew that’s why he didn’t see so much of his son anymore. Montgomery was telling Emmett this when Emmett had to walk away.

He was breaking down. He misses his dad. He was stuck with a crazy mother. He didn’t feel like he could return to Europe. Emmett had needed his father to come to that realization before his death. Not during it.

Later, Station 19 got called out to a scene. This woman by the name of Phyllis was holding up an office building. She helped them develop a clean water program. They stole her work and intended to sell it to get rich. They had initially promised her that they were going to release the information so that third world countries could access it.

It would help the world with their water supply. She found out that her supposed partners double-crossed her. She took a flammable liquid to the office. She was holding them hostage when Vic talked her into letting them go.

Then one of the guys got smug. He mouthed off to Phyllis. Phyllis then ran to the computer room. She blew it up. She blew up all of the research and the program for the clean water supply. Vic then had to get Phyllis out of that building. Phyllis didn’t want to leave at first because she knew she was going to get arrested.

Only Vic convinced her that she could keep working on clean water even in jail. They got out of the building. No one was harmed and Montgomery was finally able to talk to Emmett. Emmett was in a messed up place. And he slept with Montgomery.

Montgomery was technically in a relationship. He cheated on his boyfriend with Emmett. The same man he broke up with because he no longer loved him. Jack meanwhile was the road to recovery only he can never return to firefighting. He wouldn’t get cleared for it. He’s suffered too much trauma and his body needed to rest.

Andy finally broke down at his bedside after she heard that. She refused to cry at first because she thought she had to be tough. She realizes now that she just has to be herself. She was going to be the best Captain that Station 19 has ever seen.

Also, Fire Chief Ross got to keep her job. The Mayor was choosing to back her. She’s been the best in her job and she gets to keep that. Sullivan tried to propose to her after that. She told him to propose to her when the weather was bad, her hair was messed up, and it was Tuesday. She didn’t want him to propose because they were adrenaline junkies.

Jack woke up.

Maya and Carina did decide to adopt the baby after the person that was supposed to adopt him pulled out.

THE END!
