During a recent panel discussion at the ATX Television Festival, actor Patrick J. Adams admitted that he’d be open to reprising his Mike Ross character from Suits. He was accompanied by fellow co-stars of the legal drama, Dule Hill, Abigail Spencer, Sarah Rafferty, and Amanda Schull.
He notes that he says, ‘yes’ to this idea as a person with no authority or power, and goes on to state a reunion would, “… depend on a million things if that can happen, but is it possible? I think it is possible.”
Suits Reunion Movie? Fans Would Be ‘Down’ For It Too …But Would Meghan Markle Join In?
The popularity of Suits resurfaced after it began streaming on both Peacock and Netflix last year. The show’s executive producer, Gene Klein told TV Line in the summer of 2023 that, “It’s just one of those things [reunion] where, in this day and age, you wouldn’t be surprised if somebody called you someday.”
Still, while other cast members might be up for a reunion movie, there is buzz that Meghan Markle – who appeared on the show from 2011 to 2019 as Rachel Zane – but left after Season 7 when she married Prince Harry, would likely not take part.
Gene told TV Line that he “assumes” that Markle participating is not possible and during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter this past February, both Patrick and Gabriel Macht stated they were not in communication with the Duchess of Sussex.
Suits Spinoff Series Coming Soon
While a reunion movie is yet to be announced, the show is launching a spinoff series, Suits: LA, coming soon. A brand-new cast has been gathered, which includes Bryan Greenberg, Stephen Amell, Josh McDermit, and Lex Scott Davis. Adams told The Hollywood Reporter that he hasn’t been asked to participate in the new series, as it seems they are building a “new world” with “new characters”, and an entirely “new story”.
