In tonight’s The Amazing Race episode, the next leg of the race took place in the capital city Santiago of Chile. Ricky and Cesar were leading the pack. They’ve been in the lead almost from the first challenge. Which couldn’t be said for Amber and Vinny. The dating pair of nurses took their frustrations out on each other recently.
They got upset with each other. Amber even broke down in tears. The stress was getting to them. They tried to work at working together and only time will tell if it lasts. Same goes for the relationship. Their first task was to find Marilyn Monroe’s car. The car disappeared several decades ago only to be found again in Chile recently.
Hence why it became its own challenge.
The contestants first had to find their cars. After that, they had to find the parking garage were the famous car was held. Ricky and Cesar were the first to the clue. They were told that their second clue was at a Skatepark. Amber and Vinny were second. It seems they really were on a better page.
Amber also helped another team find the garage. She was like Danny Butler. He was running the race with his mom. His mom Angie was at a disadvantage because of her age. She didn’t want to work with any other team and her son kept ignoring her because he was too nice to ignore the other teams.
They were neck to neck with the military pilots. Angie wanted to get rid of them on the road. Danny wanted them all to make it and he didn’t feel okay with playing dirty. Except finding the skating park was taking its toll on many relationships. Angie was getting mad at her son.
Ricky and Cesar were fighting. The same goes for Amber and Vinny. They were all getting sharp with someone they love. It’s because they all wanted to be first to the skatepark. The skatepark was right off a freeway and someone could drive around in a circle if they didn’t spot the tiny sign.
It was that case for Ricky and Cesar. It’s what led to their fight in the car. Danny and Angie were the first to the skating park. They learned they had to assemble a skateboard. They were quickly followed by Rod and Leticia as well as Juan and Shane. The pilots followed them there the whole way.
Then Danny helped Ricky and Cesar when they finally caught up. There were four teams at the skating park and assembling a skateboard and Rod lost a screw in all the assembling. And Danny was the only to realize that the skateboard they were assembling had to be right with the wheels.
The wheels were all different colors. Danny was the first to get it right. He then received their next clue. They had to find between two options. They either had to find some street performers and play with them. They had to draw a crowd. They had to have earned enough pesos from their performances before they could move on. Or climb for the clue. Most went with the street performers because not everyone has stamina to climb and another reason for the performers set was that they could shake it till they make it. They did have to play maracas.
Ricky and Cesar were the first to find the performers. Rod and Leticia took the wrong freeway. They were heading to the mountains and there wasn’t a spot where they could bust a U-turn. They had to keep going in the wrong direction for a while. Leticia simply read the map wrong. They got into an argument. Leticia threw the fact that he used to date yes girls before they met at him. She said she comes from a humble background and she wasn’t as easily impressed as some. If Rod couldn’t handle that then maybe he should have the map. And she drive.
Ricky and Cesar were back in the lead. They found the performers first. They started earning pesos. They were letting their charm carry the day. Shane and Juan chose to climb. They were joined by Amber and Vinny. The guys did it fine. They were onto the last stop. Amber and Vinny couldn’t follow because Amber was struggling with rock climbing. Her leg kept trembling. It wouldn’t support her as she tried to climb up and so that caused another fight with these two while Rod and Leticia eventually found the street performers.
Leticia kept asking people for dinero when she should have been asking for pesos. Later, Ricky and Cesar were the first to the last stop. Shane and Juan were second. Amber and Vinny were third. Angie and Danny were fourth. Rod and Leticia were fifth. Yvonne and Lindsey were sixth. The cousins were coming in last place. Kishori and Karishma. They were still at the skatepark while everyone else was either finishing up the next task or heading towards their last stop. They were the last to leave the skatepark.
They then chose climbing. Lost of people falling behind chose climbing because they thought it would be easier. Well, it wasn’t easier. The cousins were terrified of heights. Derek and Shelisa were also lost on the road. Sunny and Bizzy were still a few teams from the bottom. Only the grandparents managed to find the last stop first. They were still in the game and the cousins weren’t. They were the last ones to arrive. They were told they were eliminated tonight and that was the end of tonight’s episode of the Amazing Race.
