In tonight’s The Bachelorette premiere, the final cast of twenty-five men came together to meet the newest bachelorette. Her name is Jennifer Tran. She goes by Jenn. She was a physician assistant student.
She also happened to be the first Asian-American Bachelorette. Not even “the Bachelor” has had an Asian-American bachelor. Jenn was the first of the series and that comes with a lot of responsibility.
Jenn realized this. She was the first to voice that tidbit tonight. Jenn’s own mother immigrated from Vietnam. She came to the States and found happiness. She now wants that for her daughter. Many want that for her daughter. Jenn just wants to flirt her little booty off. Her words!
Jenn seemed like a fun person. Her classmates wished her well. Her friends wished her well. She wasn’t always lucky with love, but that was very clearly a them problem because she is amazing.
Jenn opened up to Joey on his season. The relationship didn’t work. Only there was something to be learned from it. He ultimately helped Jenn to realize that she was capable of giving love and accepting love. Jenn was ready to open up tonight when she first met Marcus. He was an Army Ranger Veteran.
Marcus has been deployed numerous times. He barely made it back in one piece after the last one. His long stay at the hospital was the reason why he’s now a veteran and so here’s someone who’s familiar with commitment. He’s also shown a willingness to move for those he cares about. If not for his country, maybe for a beautiful young woman from New Jersey. He left a good impression. It just wasn’t as good as Marvin. Jenn was instantly attracted to Marvin. She thought he was sexy and that alone could win him the first impression rose.
Then there was Sam N. This Sam comes from a religious family. He didn’t date when he was younger because he didn’t want to date a woman if she wasn’t going to be his wife. He was on the show this season to see if Jenn could be the one and that could go either way. He could either fall for her and they end up happy. Or he could kick up a fuss about the fantasy suites. There’s no telling where this would go. There was also another Sam. Sam M. was engaged to a woman he’s known since middle school. She went on to cheat and the relationship couldn’t get past that.
Sam M. has been single for a year. He was ready to put himself back out there. He also found some of the others to be amusing. Take Brendan. Brendan’s intro was him eating a hot pepper. It makes no sense. Which was why Sam M was laughing at him for downing water as fast as possible. Sam found most of the intros to be amusing. There was a beatboxer. There were a couple of guys that came with shots of alcohol. Brendan didn’t even bring a pepper for her. He just brought enough for him. And the best intro of the night went to Tomas who brought along puppies to play with.
Tomas was a physiotherapist. He was like the puppy in being loyal and adorable. Jenn loved the puppies so much that she didn’t want to put hers down and so Tomas left a great impression. It wasn’t as crazy as say this one guy that arrived on a gurney. He took Jenn working in the medical field a little too seriously. Jonathon covered his whole face in gauze. He was also naked under that medical gown. He showed his butt cheeks off for the world to see. If nothing else, Jonathan was memorable. Aaron was memorable as well for arriving in a motorcycle.
Jeremy arrived in a red corvette. He acknowledged that some may think he was overcompensating except he told Jenn straight on that he has a large member. It threw off Jenn. It also got him laughed at inside of the house. There was a guy that came with a ton of balloons. He said he was floating on cloud nine since he heard she was the new bachelorette and he wanted to show he was still floating. Which was sweet. His name is Hakeem and he went on to pop most of the balloons while he tied navigating the house.
When Jenn was done with the introductions, she went into the house. She introduced herself to the group. She toasted the guys. She wasn’t perfect and she wasn’t expecting them to be either. She simply wants to get to know them. She hit it off right away with Sam M. There was an attraction on both sides. He made Jenn feel comfortable around him. He kissed her on the cheek because the moment for the first kiss wasn’t right. Jenn didn’t want to give away her first kiss yet. She wanted to take her time and get to know the guys first before she jumps to intimacy.
In the meantime, Jonathan had refused to take off the gauze around his face. He still didn’t put on clothes. The other guys were seeing his butt cheeks everywhere and none of them wanted to sit where he sat. They didn’t want someone else’s butt sweat to be on their clothes. They also started theorizing what he really looked like under all the gauze. They mentioned he could be a celebrity. They talked to Jonathan about it and he said he’d take off the gauze once he spoke to Jenn again. And until then he was given a wide berth by the others.
Jenn likes thing to be a little wild. She mentioned she was looking for a ferocious love. She had the guys play truth or dare. The first one had to go streaking around the house naked and so that kicked off a wild night. The guys all impressed Jenn. Jenn got more time for one on ones after that. She spoke with Jonathan. She got him to take off the gauze. He was a handsome guy under there. He’s the one that left a lasting impression and so most of the guys assumed he’d get the first impression rose.
Jenn also went to Jeremy’s red corvette. She was talking to Jeremy inside of it when Brian interrupted them. Brian had Jeremy’s car keys and he basically demanded to talk to Jenn. Jeremy walked off because he didn’t want to get into a childish argument. Brian then turns on the car. He and Jenn play with the engine. Jeremy was fuming all the while and some of the other guys were laughing at the whole situation. Brian also found it funny. He started rapping about taking Jeremy’s car for a spin when he returned to the house.
Jenn didn’t know about the new song. She was still talking to the guys. She talked with Marcus again. She told him he left a big impression on her and that reassured him. He wasn’t sure if she remembered him after everything the guys did that night to win her over. However, Jenn had to hand out her first impression rose. She just had the one rose. She went on to give it to Sam M. Sam was feeling better after receiving the rose and it probably didn’t hurt that Jenn said she’d been thinking about him all night.
Sam was a handsome guy. He has a bit of a cowboy to him. He was a contractor. He also received the first full on kiss from Jenn and they didn’t stop at one. They had a full on make out session. It went on for so long that Jenn forgot about the others. By time she finally remembered them, it was time to give out the rest of the roses. Dylan got the second rose of the night. He was followed by a whole slew of guys. Like Thomas and Tomas. Both pronounced the same. Jonathan also got a rose. The ones left out were the ones eliminated tonight.
They weren’t bad guys or anything. They just weren’t the one for Jenn. Gooodbye Brendan, Brett, Dakota, Kevin, Matt, Moze, and Ricky. Jenn also had something unprecedented to announce tonight. She told the guys that they were heading to Australia. Melbourne to be in particular. They were going to spend most of the time in the sunny country. And hopefully they fall in love there.
