In tonight’s The Bachelorette episode, this season’s bachelorette has really hit it off with one of the guys. Jenn was so busy locking lips with one of the Sams that she ran a little late to the first rose ceremony.

If nothing else, it appears that Sam M was a great kisser. He charmed Jenn on the first night and he has to keep that momentum going if he wants to remain standing at the end. Even if it does bring out the worst in the others. The other guys were pretty jealous that Sam M got the first impression rose. They were competing for Jenn’s time and a trip down under wasn’t going to change that.

They all went to Australia. Their issues with each other went with them. The loudest of them all seemed to be Devin. Devin marketed himself as a straight shooter that greatly respects women.

His mom was a single mother. She’s the one that raised him. He speaks of her very lovingly. Only he did say upfront that he says what he thinks without filter. Devin was one of the guys that went on the first group date in Australia. They checked the markets. They tried vegemite. They all agree that it’s an acquired taste that they lack.

They got shots. They enjoyed cake. Well, some enjoyed the cake. Sam N couldn’t eat it because he couldn’t eat dairy. He felt that made him stand out and not in a good way. He was feeling insecure when Devin played a fast one on them.

Devin pulled Jenn aside on the group date. He made sure to get alone time with her and that left the other guys feeling disrespected. It’s a group date. They were supposed to be together. Devin shouldn’t have gotten alone time with Jenn. It was unfair to the rest of them.

The only upside of that was that they now could interrupt his time with Jenn. He couldn’t respect the rules of a group date and so they don’t have to respect his alone time with Jenn. The other guys interrupted their alone time. They got Jenn to pay attention to the rest of them. They all got to enjoy a comedy show.

Things took a turn at the comedy show. The guys got to go up onstage. They used that to roast the hell out of Devin. He was an easy target. Devin didn’t take any of it personally. He instead believed that they were jealous of him. And that meant he had something special with Jenn.

After the comedy show, they moved to a vineyard. It was a beautiful venue. It’s already got people thinking of marriage and it gave Jenn more time to spend with everyone. She apparently was like Jeremy as a kid.

They both were ugly ducklings that grew to be beautiful swans. Jeremy still felt like an overweight thirteen year old dork. Jenn could sympathize because she felt her glow up only happened recently. They bonded. Jenn bonded with a quite a few of the guys. She kissed Grant after their conversation went deep.

She was talking alone with Aaron when Devin proved to be a jerk. Once again. Devin interrupted them. He brought along dessert because he used his alone time earlier to bond with Jenn about ice cream.

Anyways, Devin interrupted them because he didn’t like what Aaron said about him. Aaron called him a boy. It wasn’t a race thing. They are both white. Aaron called him boy because what he saw of Devin told him that Devin needed to mature some. Aaron also called him Dylan and that’s why Devin interrupted them. He wanted to get back at Aaron for calling him a boy.

Aaron spoke to the others about it. They encouraged him to go back in. Aaron has a problem with being assertive and so he took their advice. He went back in. He kicked Devin out.

Devin took forever to finally get up and go, but he eventually did. Aaron got Jenn back to himself. For about a minute. Devin literally came back in under a minute.

He and Aaron looked like they were about to fight when Aaron chose to be the bigger person. He left. Devin then swooped in to get a kiss from Jenn. What neither realized was that Jenn didn’t like seeing the fighting.

Especially not on day one in Australia. She wants the guys to get along. Devin wasn’t interested in doing that. He didn’t like any criticism and Aaron was too passive to confront him.

He could call him a boy. He just couldn’t actually stand up to him. In the meantime, Jenn had already asked out a guy for the first one on one date. She asked Marcus. It was surprising because everyone thought she’d ask Sam M. She ended up going with someone else because she really does what to get to know all the guys.

Jenn and Marcus went up in one of those little planes. It wasn’t just to see Australia by air. When Jenn said “let’s fall in love” on the date note, she meant that literally. They went skydiving. It’s a good thing she chose Marcus too. The former military guy wasn’t afraid at all. He enjoyed every minute of that.

He also got to passionately kiss Jenn at the end of it and he wouldn’t trade that for anything. Marcus got to share a lot of his life story with Jenn. They talked for a while after skydiving. Marcus got vulnerable with her.

The last time he went to war had almost killed him. Marcus needed a safe space to talk. Jenn was that for him and he got rewarded with the first rose of the night. Marcus is a great guy.

He would be great for Jenn. The one problem in that pairing would be Jenn. Jenn admitted she’s drawn to guys that hurt her emotionally. It’s why she went on a cleanse after the last doomed relationship. Its why she went on “The Bachelor”. She’s looking for love. She simply doesn’t have a reference on how to find that healthy amount of love.

Jenn next went on a group date. They were going to be doing Australian wildlife photoshoot. Jenn loves animals. She was looking for a man to love animals as much as she does.

Only they did Hakeem wrong. He was deathly afraid of spiders. Tell me why they gave this sweet man a spider to hold. He freaked out. Jenn had to comfort him. She got him through the photoshoot. She also couldn’t help laughing until it became her turn. She had to experience her own worst nightmare. She was deadly afraid of snakes and so Dylan stepped up to comfort her.

What Dylan did set off a spark. She later asked him to go on a far more personal date. They got all dressed up and had dinner. The other guys went back to the house and they were all disappointed.

They didn’t get to enjoy any time with Jenn. Jenn gave the first group date a chance at alone time. She didn’t do that with the second group date. They were left feeling unsteady. Which wasn’t helped by Aaron pulling Devin aside to talk. Aaron confronted Devin. He called him Dylan again. He questioned Devin’s depth as a person. He gave him a book on personal growth.

Devin called Aaron passive aggressive. Aaron walked away claiming he was just trying to help Devin. The two guys don’t get along and they probably never will. Not even if they were both to appear on the next “Bachelor In Paradise”. Devin managed to build something with Jenn. She appreciates his tell as it is attitude.

No one else does. It was just Jenn. Jenn also didn’t think it was wrong when Devin instantly demanded her time on the night of the rose ceremony. Devin had previously agreed to let the guys from the second group date have some face time with Jenn at the cocktail party.

He went back on that agreement when it actually counted. He did it in front of Jenn. Thomas had to talk to him about it and Devin claimed that that the guys were being unreasonable.

They were trying to limit Jenn’s choices. Jenn also got upset because she felt they were taking away her own independence. Thomas was on the outs with Jenn. Jenn spoke with Sam M again. Sam flusters her. In a good way. Jenn couldn’t help making out with Sam M the first chance she could. She even said he re-centers her.

Jenn enjoyed the rest of the night. Devin meanwhile was still upset that Thomas interrupted him. He later confronted Thomas. He accused Thomas of ruining Jenn’s time.

Thomas then said he was honest. He called Devin a bully. Sam M laughed a good one at that. He had returned to the group. He gave the other guys a chance to talk to Jenn. They all tried to get as much time with Jenn as possible. And then the cocktail party ended.

Jenn would go on to hand out many roses. She gave one to Devin. She also gave one to Thomas. It turns out Jenn doesn’t mind the drama after all.

THE END!
