In tonight’s The bachelorette episode, it was a new week in Melbourne, Australia. Some were ready to start over. Others were still upset about everything that happened last week. Spencer chose to be the voice of reason amongst the guys. He reminded everyone that they weren’t there to start drama.

They were there to date Jenn. Jenn should be the priority. Spencer was being such an adult about it that even Jenn noticed. She invited him out on a date. Her second one on one date. She said he brings out her silly side. She also added that he has golden retriever energy that she loves. And so Jenn invited him on a date to get to know him a little better.

Sure, she had chemistry with a few guys in the house. What’s stopping her from pursuing such relationships was the fact that she has a history with this. She used to love toxic guys. She joined the Bachelor franchise to break out of that pattern. She did really well with Joey in bachelor past.

She was trying to recreate that spark on her own season and it sucks when she sometimes falls back on old patterns. She should never have kept both Devin and Thomas. They don’t like each other. They might even hate each other. She should have chosen one over the other.

It wasn’t just them either. Sam M. also hates Devin. Devin was sneaky. He was always taking away Jenn’s time with other guys to claim her as his own. Sam M hasn’t gotten a solo date. His group date was also cut short. He was angry with Devin for always getting between Jenn and all the guys trying to date her.

Only Spencer seemed to have gotten through to the guys. Sam M. said he would return his focus back on Jenn. Thomas said the same. Devin claimed in his confessional that Jenn likes him the way he is. He felt there was no need to change.

Devin’s whole attitude was that he was the guy to tell like it is. He didn’t come to the franchise to make friends. He came to get the girl. Devin never tried to sugarcoat that. He was loud and a little arrogant. He said that going in. Jenn knew what she was getting with him.

She also liked the drama he brought because she kept him on. Then she invited him to a group date with both Thomas and Sam M. Jenn could have used that time to pick which guy she wanted to keep on. Or she could have invited them all to see if they could behave in public. There’s no telling with this group.

All Jenn knew was that she was really feeling Spencer. Spencer opened up to her. He told her how he was engaged once and he found out his fiancé had been cheating on him. He quickly ended the relationship. He never got the full extent of how many times his ex cheated. Much less with whom.

He was just ready to put his past behind him. He told Jenn his story. She empathized with him because she’s had guys do that to her and she wasn’t going to blindside him like his ex did. If their relationship didn’t work out, she was going to talk to him like an adult.

But back to inviting the enemies all out on a group date, Jenn was a little silly. She wanted the guys to put on a strip show with the help of Australian strippers known as the Thunder Down Under.

Poor Sam N injured himself in practice. He was also pretty shy. He didn’t want to strip in front of a group of strangers. That’s not what he joined the show for. He wanted to get to know Jenn and possibly fall in love. Sam N wasn’t the only person feeling the heat. Devin was super nervous about the show.

Devin didn’t have abs. He was also rather hairy. He knew he wouldn’t win over the crowd like say Thomas or Sam M will. Still, the guys gave it their all. They were clever with their costumes.

They had fun with their routines. Sam M was perhaps the hottest for Jenn. Jenn spoke with the Australian Bachelorettes. They both told her to be weary of Sam M. They said that chemistry quickly fizzles out. Jenn has to be smart. She has to pick a guy she has a future with. And that might not be Sam M or Sam N.

Sam N had them cut the music. He then told Jenn that he was falling in love with her. He spoke to Jenn about his feelings for her and he put everything on the line. It wasn’t a strip routine. It was just from the heart. It was also a little too quick in their relationship to use the word “love”.

They had two group dates. Sam N has never spoken to Jenn on these dates. He just talked to her at the cocktail party. He also doesn’t know what falling in love feels like. He’s never been in love before. He grew up very sheltered and has never dated.

Jenn couldn’t be sure to trust Sam N’s judgement. She couldn’t be sure about anyone’s judgement. Jonathan won the trophy for the night and he was the first to talk to her solo at the afterparty. Naturally, Devin was quick to interrupt. Jonathan suspected he would do that.

That’s why he made sure to kiss her early. Devin wasn’t so bad at stripping mind you. He got to be silly. He also gave her the best view of his backside. Devin used to be a fat kid and so women finding him attractive helped heal the little boy inside.

It then became Sam M time’s to be a jerk. He was making fun of Sam N. He and Thomas were laughing about it and Devin overheard them. Devin didn’t tell Sam N about it right away. He waited until after Sam N approached the group. Sam N wanted to apologize for his wording at the strip show.

Devin told him that he doesn’t have to apologize for anything. He said how he felt and that’s all that matters according to Devin. Devin then brought up how Sam M and Thomas were having secret conversations that needed to end.

All three guys talked. Sam M and Thomas asked Devin to not talk to them. Devin said he was going to enact mutual respect and that was it until Jenn gave the date rose to Devin. She liked how he surprised her at the show by being funny. She also liked that he opened up to her.

Sam M couldn’t help laughing about it. He seemed the guy to laugh when he’s uncomfortable. Nothing made him more uncomfortable than Devin talking about how he’s the blueprint that Jenn would want to settle down with.

aron also got a call from work. He might get a promotion if he comes back. If he doesn’t come back, he misses out on a dream opportunity. Aaron needed to think about it.

He likes Jenn. He wasn’t sure or not if she was right for him. He was still getting to know her. He went on a group date with some of the other guys. They went to a racetrack. The four guys got to drive around a lap. The fastest time will get them more time Jenn. Austin won the race. He got alone time with Jenn and Aaron was still unsure about their future.

Jenn still talked to the other guys. It seems that most of them had a traumatizing past. Jenn was glad that she was their safe space however she couldn’t pick all of them.

Jenn gave that group date rose to Jeremy. This was enough for Aaron to realize he might not get the reassurance he needs from Jenn. Aaron later talked to Jenn at the cocktail party. He told her about the job opportunity. He decided to pursue the job. He also tried to warn her about other guys in the house not being ready for an engagement.

Aaron wouldn’t name names. Jenn even got frustrated with him because he wouldn’t name names. They parted ways with Jenn not trusting Aaron’s judgement and so Aaron went after the dream job. Just not before he dropped a bomb in Jenn’s dating life.

Jenn then announced to the room that some of them weren’t here for the right reasons. She asked them not to waste her time or think of their season like a game show. She wanted someone willing to commit and if that doesn’t apply to them – they needed to leave.

The guys got a little heated about what Aaron could have meant by that comment. They were arguing about it amongst themselves when the cocktail party ended and that was it.

Some didn’t get time with Jenn. They couldn’t offer her support while she struggles with her feelings. And she made her decision based on what she felt instinctually.

Jenn sent a couple of guys home and none of them were the troublemakers.

THE END!
