It was down to seven men at the start of tonight. Jenn managed to choose guys she’s gotten to know. She’s been on a solo date with most of them and so she’s knows their strengths. She also knows their weaknesses. She knows Devin likes attention. She knows that Sam M can sometimes talk over her. She even knows what Jonathan’s butt looks like and luckily for him that was one of his strengths. Jonathan along with the rest of the guys went with Jenn back to the States. They headed to Seattle. And before she chose her next solo date in the new city, Jenn sought some advice.

Jenn talked to Charity. Charity was the last season bachelorette. She found love and they’re still together. Which was a miracle in the bachelor/bachelorette world. Jenn wanted that for herself more than anything. She wants love. She just doesn’t trust her own judgement in choosing love. She talked to Charity about the guys. She said something good about all of them. She mentioned that she felt some of them were holding back. Charity helped Jenn see that not everyone was ready for a relationship.

Jenn wanted to get to know Marcus. They’ve already had a solo date and Jenn could tell he still had his walls up. Only she had a soft spot for him. Jenn invited him on another one on one. She wanted to break down those walls of his and to his credit he wanted the same. He knows that he distances himself to protect himself. He was still a soldier at heart. It didn’t matter that he’s now retired. He will always worry about what comes next. Jenn was thankfully kind enough to realize that and that’s why she invited him out on a second solo date,

They had a “Wicked” themed date. Seattle was known as the Emerald city. Jenn and Marcus got to follow the yellow brick road and have fun. They ate spicy peppers. They had a pillow fight. They made out several time. Marcus got to see a vide message from his sister. Marcus was really close with his sister. He told Jenn that if he made it to Hometowns that she would get to meet his amazing sister. Marcus was playing it safe when he said if and Jenn respected that. The two of them also went up in a hot air balloon.

Back at the hotel, the other guys were talking amongst themselves. Sam was hoping to make it to Hometowns. He wanted to introduce Jenn to his family. Devin felt Sam was cocky for saying that. Devin and Sam do not get along. They’ve butted heads several times in the past. Devin said in his confessional that Sam M (the last Sam standing) wasn’t right for Jenn. He thought Sam was too arrogant for such a wonderful woman. Devin. Sam, and all the others were beginning to have feelings for Jenn. And they thought that gave them the power to talk for her.

Jenn sent the last guy that tried to do that home. She didn’t know what the guys were talking about. She was still on her date with Marcus. Marcus admitted that his parents dropped him and his sister off at daycare and then never came back for them. They entered the foster care system. Some families would try them on before ultimately sending them back into foster care. It made Marcus wary of opening up to people because he was afraid of rejection. He’s faced rejection his whole life and the one person he knew he could depend on was his sister.

Marcus’s only family was his sister. Jenn came to see how important it was that he wanted to introduce the two women to each other. She herself knows what it’s like to face rejection. Her father divorced her mom and then cut ties with Jenn. As if she was no longer his daughter. Jenn took that hard growing up. Her mother became her lifeline because her mother reassured her in the sense that she would never leave her. She made Jenn see that her family wasn’t broken. They still had each other and that’s enough.

Jenn chose Jeremy for the next one on one. He was the only one that’s never been on a solo date before. He was glad to finally get the opportunity to talk to Jenn alone and unfortunately it got pushed back by the group date. Jenn invited the guys to a news station for her group date. She wanted to get to know them more. She tested them by testing their motives. Sam failed that test. He failed it really badly. He wasn’t playing the games right and he often talks without meaning. It was like he was going in circles. Which Devin was very happy by.

It wasn’t just Devin by the way that thought he was talking crap. Every guy on the group date thought Sam was full of crap. Jenn couldn’t see it or hear it because of her intense attraction to Sam. She also didn’t notice that the guys were starting to side with Devin on this one. They all took a double take when Sam was asked what comes to mind when he hears Fantasy Suites and he said “aggressive”. That was his word association. It was so stupid that Jenn should have noticed it and she didn’t.

Devin was so frustrated by Sam that he later questioned him. He asked Sam if he genuinely thought Jenn was talking about when she said she made some connections. Sam thought she was and he was wrong about that. He talked to Jenn privately. Jenn kept trying to get Sam to open up. Sam told her he loves her. She didn’t understand where that was coming from because Sam has never humbled himself. He’s never gotten to know Jenn. He’s never lowered his walls around her. Jenn wanted their relationship to work and tonight simply showed her that it wasn’t going to pay off.

Sam couldn’t even explain why he loves Jenn. He’s never gotten to know her enough to answer that question. Jenn tried to put Sam out of her mind on her solo date with Jeremy. Jeremy was a funny guy. He shared the same type of humor as Jenn. They always laugh together. They had fun. They went to the market. Jeremy made her bouquet of flowers just cause. He didn’t need a reason. They also spoke to a psychic. The psychic told Jeremy that Jenn was the type of woman that wants flowers and he was happy because he had already did that

Jeremy was a guy that was happy to be around Jenn because he felt at ease in her presence. He’s what Jenn needed. She hasn’t always chosen the best guys to date and that’s because she tends to choose the bad boys rather than the good ones. The psychic warned her about that. Jenn didn’t have to worry about Jeremy because he was a good guy. They had a romantic dinner. Jeremy told her how important his faith was. He was Jewish. He had relatives that died in the holocaust and so he didn’t want to give up on his faith. And he wanted his future children to share his faith.

Jenn has Jewish friends. She knows the holidays. She knows how to participate. It also didn’t hurt that Jeremy didn’t care that Jenn was Buddhist. He told her upfront that he wouldn’t ask her to convert. If their relationship worked out, they could always raise their children in both faiths. Jenn could truly picture a future with Jeremy and that’s why she gave Jeremy a rose after their date. She also gave Marcus a rose after their date. She had two roses left after the solo dates and she had no idea who to give them to.

Jenn later sought out Sam before the rose ceremony. She went to the hotel. She went to Sam’s room. She confronted him and he still claims to love her. Only she doesn’t believe him. She doesn’t think he’s genuine. She doesn’t think he actually listens to her. He doesn’t check in with her. He kept saying that everything would make sense on Hometowns. Jenn didn’t want to wait an extra week to find out if Sam was full of crap. She kept pushing him for answers tonight and he couldn’t give them to her. Jenn felt so let down by Sam that the whole situation annoyed her.

Jenn knew from then that she was going to eliminate Sam. She didn’t even bother to wait for the rose ceremony. She sent him packing early. She gave her two remaining roses to Devin and Jonathan. And that was it for Grant and Spencer.

THE END
