The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, August 16, reveals that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) stood his ground and insisted Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) couldn’t change his mind about spilling the kiss to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
Afterward, Hope made her way to the Forrester design office, where she kept flashing back to the kiss and how Finn berated her for screwing things up.
At the cliff house, Steffy heard a bunch of honking outside and happily greeted Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) at the door.
After some hugs, Taylor talked about spending time with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) and Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) in France.
Taylor also asked how things were going at Forrester Creations, so Steffy complained about not trusting Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and certainly not trusting Hope.
Taylor asked if Steffy was still concerned about Hope spending too much time with her husband and wondered if Hope was turning into her mother.
Steffy said she wouldn’t put it past Hope and ranted about her being such a bad influence on Finn.
When Steffy questioned whether Finn might actually be drawn to Hope, Taylor shut down the idea and assured Steffy of her husband’s love.
While Taylor was freshening up on Friday’s B&B episode, Finn came home with some news.
After Finn said they needed to talk, he told Steffy this was about Hope.
Meanwhile, Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) paid a jailhouse visit to Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park), who swore she didn’t commit the murders or alter the paternity test.
Poppy said it’d be nice if her sister believed in her, so Li took Poppy’s hands and confessed that she did.
Poppy thanked Li for that and was glad Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) had Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) since she knew he would take care of their daughter.
At the Spencer mansion, Bill admitted the new test results confirmed he wasn’t Luna’s dad, but he embraced her and promised she’d always have a special place in his heart.
Luna questioned if the original paternity test tampering was all part of Poppy’s plan.
Bill assumed Tom Starr (Clint Howard) was Luna’s actual father, so Luna asked if Poppy really killed her dad to keep her from knowing who he was.
Once Bill offered comfort, Luna reflected on her difficult childhood and lack of stability.
Bill had changed Luna’s life for the better, so she reflected on that as she praised him for being the most incredible man she’d ever met.
After Luna hugged Bill, the vibe suddenly shifted as she dove in for a kiss. The lip lock left Bill looking shocked, but Luna seemed pleased with herself.
