The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, September 23, reveals that Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) admitted to Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) that she ignored her symptoms for a while and thought she was just getting older.
Taylor didn’t really question her fatigue and lack of energy, but then she began to experience shortness of breath and chest pains.
Once Taylor finally saw a doctor, she found out that she has heart failure.
After Taylor reiterated that she was dying, she explained that she hadn’t seen a cardiologist yet since she rushed home to be with her family.
Li offered to put Taylor in touch with one of her cardiologist colleagues, so she texted a list of names and said she’d do her best to get Taylor an appointment ASAP.
Taylor acknowledged that it was getting harder to hide her symptoms, but she still didn’t want anyone else to know about her condition.
Li tried to persuade Taylor to rely on her family’s support, but just being around them was all the support Taylor needed.
Although Li didn’t approve of Taylor’s decision, she agreed not to say anything.
Li thought Taylor should keep an open mind since she might start to see things differently as her illness progressed.
Taylor knew there’d come a point when she’d slowly slip away, but she planned to face death with as much strength and grace as she could muster.
At Forrester Creations, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) assured Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) that he’d try to convince Taylor to stay in LA.
Steffy was glad since she’d already lost so much time with Taylor and didn’t want to waste another moment.
At Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) mansion, Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) feared Luna Nozawa’s (Lisa Yamada) reign of terror was all her fault since she first introduced Luna as an intern.
However, Eric and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) insisted Donna couldn’t have known what Luna was capable of.
The conversation eventually shifted to Taylor and how Brooke thought they might truly become friends.
Since Taylor was clear about coming back for her family and Brooke knew her place in Ridge’s heart, Brooke felt better about things this time. Eric thought it would be good for everyone to have Taylor in town.
Next on Monday’s B&B episode, Brooke met up with Ridge and confessed that she had an interesting conversation with Taylor earlier.
Since Taylor suggested a friendship with Brooke was possible, Ridge thought that was great news.
Brooke didn’t think Taylor was going anywhere soon, so Ridge said that was good since he didn’t want Steffy to lose her mother again.
Back at the cliff house, Taylor gazed at family photos and became emotional.
When Steffy returned home and caught her mom crying, she asked what was wrong and told Taylor that she could tell her anything.
Our predictions point to Taylor keeping a lid on her heart failure as long as possible, but there’ll inevitably be more tight spots along the way!
