The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that the show’s always left a mystery dangling when it comes to who Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) biological father is. Could that mystery finally unravel and lead to a stunning revelation?
In a new interview with Soaps.com, Sean Kanan pointed out that Deacon doesn’t know who his bio dad is, but he’s taking this opportunity to embrace his chosen family – which now includes Tom (Clint Howard).
It was heartwarming to see Tom officiate the marriage ceremony and express such joy for Deacon as he made Sheila Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) his wife.
Likewise, it was touching to see Deacon offer Tom a job with a good salary and plenty of free food.
It’s clear that Deacon and Tom are building a nice bond, so we have to ask: Could Tom be Deacon’s biological father?
Of course, we should point out that Clint Howard is 65 in real life and Sean Kanan is 57, so the math obviously doesn’t add up if we go by their real ages.
That said, Howard could easily pass for older than he actually is with that long, gray beard while Kanan still has a bit of a baby face that makes him look younger.
Maybe Tom could be a few years older than his portrayer – and Deacon could be a few years younger, too.
In that case, B&B could certainly still make the story work.
It’d be interesting for Deacon to meet his bio dad after all this time, especially now that he’s getting to know Tom and helping him out with a position at the restaurant.
Perhaps watching Tom and Deacon create a father-son connection could affect John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) deeply.
It might make Finn even more drawn to Sheila in hopes of building their own mother-son bond.
Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) could also become part of a family storyline with Deacon and her grandpa, so there’d be plenty of places to go with a big Tom reveal like this.
