The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers for Monday, January 15, reveal that Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) will be shaken up now that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) has made a huge confession.
In a shocking move, Thomas came clean about deleting his GPS data, chasing after Emma Barber (Nia Sioux) and speeding down the road with her.
However, Thomas was adamant that he didn’t intentionally try to harm Emma.
The situation had a tragic outcome, but Thomas assured Hope that he never intended for Emma to face such a sad fate.
Thomas didn’t want any secrets between them, so this feels like a huge shift for the character.
The old Thomas absolutely would’ve kept right on hiding any details that made him look bad.
Now Thomas is trying a more honest approach and acknowledging the worst version of himself.
Thomas isn’t that person anymore, so he’s hoping this confession will make his relationship with Hope stronger in the end.
Of course, Thomas is taking a huge gamble here.
If Thomas had kept his mouth shut, he could’ve had a romantic night with Hope as planned and brushed all this under the rug.
The fact that Thomas is taking this risk in the name of honesty says a lot about the direction of the character.
It adds to the idea of Thomas being on a redemptive path.
That said, Thomas just dropped some huge info that Hope will need time to process.
Although Thomas pointed out that no one could’ve survived that crash, Hope still seemed uneasy over him not calling for help.
Thomas begged Hope to say she forgave him for his past mistakes, but forgiveness and acceptance are two different things. Even if Hope forgives Thomas, accepting the new details of his history won’t be an easy task.
We’re going to see a very unsettled Hope on Monday’s B&B episode, so she may tell Thomas that she needs some space until she can figure things out.
That’s not the news Thomas wants, but he’ll just have to hope that they can get past this in time.
Meanwhile, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will try to convince John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) to have a little faith in Thomas and forget about Xander Avant’s (Adain Bradley) claims.
Thomas didn’t go into all the details with Steffy, but he did tell her that he wasn’t responsible for Emma’s demise – and that’s clearly good enough for his sister.
Nevertheless, Finn will remain concerned and may think Steffy’s letting Thomas pull the wool over her eyes.
Since Finn doesn’t believe Thomas is a changed man, that could bring bigger problems in his relationship.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Steffy will push Finn to make some updates to his attitude, so stay tuned to see if he will.
