The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that the show has an interesting opportunity now that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is leading the charge to have Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) locked back up.
Of course, Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) is right there beside Steffy when it comes to pushing for Sheila’s imprisonment.
Both Steffy and Li have been throwing accusations at Sheila, but there’s a big problem.
When Sheila brought up Tom Starr’s (Clint Howard) backpack and the info inside that potentially led to his grim fate, Li immediately looked guilty and nervous.
Sheila suggested Hollis was taken out over what he found in that backpack.
Since Hollis appeared to find Tom’s letters to Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) with claims about Luna Nozawa’s (Lisa Yamada) paternity, that could be why he was targeted like Tom.
Based on Li’s anxiety over that bag, it’s possible she stole it from the restaurant or perhaps had Jack Finnegan (Ted King) do it for her. It’s also possible that Li herself was behind the drug overdoses.
After all, Steffy played up the fact that Sheila was a former medical professional who knew all about the right dosages.
We can’t ignore the fact that Li is also a medical professional who would know the exact same thing.
If Li is behind Tom and Hollis’ grim fates, what happens if Steffy somehow discovers the shocker?
Steffy might realize that Li’s capable of things that are just as heinous as Sheila, but Li may rush to her own defense.
Li might argue that she was protecting her family’s reputation and open up about Jack fathering Luna since it looks like he indeed did.
Maybe Li could insist Sheila is the bigger threat to society and push Steffy not to send her preferred mother-in-law to prison instead.
It’d be intriguing dilemma if Steffy was backed into a corner like this. Will Steffy uncover Li’s guilt and find herself forced to decide the fate of Finn’s adoptive mom?
If B&B put Steffy in this situation, she might have to clear Sheila’s name and turn Li in.
On the other hand, the show could bring the drama another way if they had Steffy try to bury the secret and make a pact of silence with Li.
That said, two innocent men are deceased regardless, so Steffy might not be willing to let Li or anyone else get away with these crimes.
