The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that a surprising new feud has emerged at Forrester Creations. It feels a little contrived for Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) to be going up against Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) out of nowhere, but at least it’s something different!
Now that Steffy and Carter are being pitted against each other as business rivals, we have to take a closer look at the conflict and figure out who to root for. Are you Team Steffy or Team Carter?
For starters, we should acknowledge that Steffy is co-CEO, so she’s Carter’s boss. You could certainly argue that Carter isn’t respecting that – especially since he went behind Steffy’s back to arrange the revived jewelry line pitch.
B&B fans also can’t ignore the fact that Carter’s belief in Hope for the Future didn’t happen until he was trying to get Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) in bed!
This has become bigger than just Hope’s line, but there’s no denying that Carter wants to help Steffy’s longtime adversary – and that’s playing a role in this feud as well. Part of Carter may want to emerge victorious over Steffy because of how she’s hindered Hope.
That said, there’s some truth to Carter’s claims that Steffy has let personal issues affect business decisions. Steffy was against Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) taking center stage on the Brooke’s Bedroom reboot, but she was wrong based on the successful numbers.
It’s easy to see why Carter might push back in other situations where he thinks Forrester Creations can succeed – no matter what Steffy’s past resentments are.
It seems like Steffy could’ve at least looked at Ivy Forrester (Ashleigh Brewer) and Electra Forrester’s (Laneya Grace) designs before shutting the whole jewelry line down.
Is Steffy really that busy that she couldn’t stroll down to the salon and take a glance? Considering all the breaks Steffy takes to make out with John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), she surely could’ve found the time!
That doesn’t mean Steffy had to approve, but the fair thing to do would’ve been to check out the jewelry designs and then make the decision.
On the other hand, maybe Steffy felt the need to establish some boundaries and let Carter know it wasn’t OK to ambush her. It could’ve been a power move designed to put Carter in his place – and maybe Carter indeed deserves to be put in his place a bit here.
Bottom line, there are good reasons to support either side of this Forrester Creations rivalry, which is only going to heat up now that Carter’s got another pitch on the horizon.
