The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) were overjoyed about their engagement news when fans last saw them.
Paris kept talking about how she couldn’t wait to be Mrs. Forrester, so it’s strange that B&B suddenly pumped the brakes and sent her back to France unmarried with Thomas.
Even Eric Forrester (John McCook) acted like the wedding was more imminent, especially since Thomas was already making plans to have it there at the Forrester estate.
That’s why many fans were confused when Thomas, Paris and Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) took off again – leaving this story dangling for who knows how long!
Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) argued that although Thomas rushed into an engagement with Paris, he wasn’t rushing into marriage with her.
That makes no sense considering how much Thomas has talked about wanting a wife, but the show put the nuptials on hold anyway.
Considering how it all played out, we have our doubts about whether this wedding will even happen.
It seems more like Thomas’ return with Paris was about throwing his new romance in Hope Logan’s (Annika Noelle) face and convincing her to let go of him.
Now that Hope has been pushed further in John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) direction, Thomas’ latest comeback with Paris has served its purpose.
Is there any real story-related reason for Paris and Thomas to marry now that Hope’s given them their blessing?
That sucks the drama out of it, so maybe B&B has something else in store.
It’d be far more interesting if Thomas eventually came home single and heartbroken.
Thomas might have to admit Hope was right about him diving into a new relationship on the rebound.
There may be problems that emerge between Thomas and Paris – partly because they jumped into this engagement way too quickly and partly because Thomas still loves Hope deep down.
Will Thomas call off the wedding and want Hope back at some point?
That could shake up Hope’s world once more, especially if she’s already moved on with Finn or someone else by then.
