The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, August 8, reveals that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) filled Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) in on Will Spencer’s (Crew Morrow) rocky homecoming and the fact that he was living with Katie Logan (Heather Tom) right now.
At Forrester Creations, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) got plenty of praise over the relaunch following their return from Monaco.
Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor), Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) eventually talked to Brooke and Ridge about the overdose deaths at Il Giardino.
Katie suddenly decided she had somewhere to be and took off in a hurry.
As for RJ, he planned to go meet up with Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) and agreed to pick up a pizza for Ridge while he was out.
At Il Giardino, Katie told Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) that she had some questions about what happened to Tom Starr (Clint Howard) and Paul “Hollis” Hollister (Hollis W. Chambers).
Deacon worried Katie was trying to point the finger at Sheila Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown), but Katie admitted she was wondering about Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) instead.
After denying that she was jealous, Katie insisted she was concerned for Bill since there were things that didn’t add up when it came to Poppy.
At Poppy’s old apartment, she once again swore to Luna that she had no idea how Tom’s backpack got there.
Poppy also pointed out that Bill knew about Tom’s false paternity claims and her past relationship with him.
Once Poppy mentioned her encounter with Tom when he spilled the water, she added that he delivered a pizza to Bill’s house.
Luna remembered and got even more unsettled since that was the night of Tom’s last performance.
Poppy said that’s when she decided to take matters into her own hands, but she assured an alarmed Luna that she had nothing to do with Tom’s demise.
According to Poppy, she just confronted Tom and told him to stop spreading lies.
Luna was rattled over all this happening the same night Tom died, but Poppy maintained her innocence and guessed Tom must’ve snuck the backpack in there at some point.
Poppy pushed Luna to focus on the paternity results proving Bill was her father and trust her mother’s side of the story regarding Tom.
Once Poppy hugged Luna and headed home to Bill, Luna stuck around and summoned RJ.
When RJ arrived, Luna gave him updates on the backpack situation and let him see the letters Tom wrote regarding her paternity.
Luna noted that Poppy claimed she had no idea how the backpack got there, but she also went to set Tom straight the last night he was alive.
Although Luna didn’t want to believe Poppy was guilty, she reflected on Poppy’s past drug use and said maybe she had the means.
RJ considered whether Poppy also had the motive if she thought Tom was going to start harassing Luna.
After Luna apologized for dragging RJ into all this, he comforted her and said they were going to figure this out.
Back with Poppy, she found Bill and suggested that being in her old apartment was a reminder of how much she appreciated having a new home with him.
Poppy didn’t ever want to lose Bill, who promised he was committed to her as well as Luna.
At Il Giardino again, RJ overheard Katie talking to Deacon about Tom and Hollis, so he spoke to Katie privately.
Once RJ pushed Katie to keep this confidential, he told her about Luna showing him the backpack she found in Poppy’s old apartment.
RJ explained that it belonged to Tom and that there were letters inside claiming he was Luna’s father.
Katie reeled as she realized another man claimed to be Luna’s dad and suddenly dropped dead.
RJ’s news led to Katie considering the idea that she could be right about Poppy going after Hollis and Tom.
