The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, October 3, reveals that Dr. Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) moved forward with Taylor Hayes’ (Rebecca Budig) cardiac enzyme test.
Taylor had some blood work done and awaited the results with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye).
However, those results weren’t at all what Dr. Buckingham expected.
Dr. Buckingham ultimately insisted that Taylor’s numbers were good, so she didn’t believe Taylor had heart failure.
Instead, Dr. Buckingham suspected that Taylor was suffering from broken heart syndrome since heartbreak could mimic heart failure symptoms in some cases.
Taylor was skeptical as she heard the news with Ridge, but Dr. Buckingham insisted the condition was very real and felt confident this could be affecting Taylor’s health.
At Forrester Creations, Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) gave Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) updates on Brooke’s Bedroom possibly aligning with Hope for the Future, so she loved the idea.
Brooke also fished for info on anyone special in Carter’s life – mostly because she wanted to know where things stood with Katie Logan (Heather Tom).
Carter made it clear that they’d been back in the friend zone for a while now and assumed Brooke was asking because of Katie’s potential reunion with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont).
After Carter sang Hope’s praises during his conversation with Brooke, he walked in on a tense moment between Hope and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) in the CEO office.
Once Steffy took off, Carter told Hope that he wanted to talk more about her line.
Hope wondered if this was really about her modeling lingerie and joked around with Carter in a flirty moment.
Carter ultimately suggested they could discuss things over lunch sometime and wanted to treat Hope to a meal at Il Giardino.
Hope seemed pleased as she suggested that could be arranged.
At Bill’s place, he made another pitch for a romantic reunion with Katie, who insisted it wasn’t going to happen.
Katie pointed out that Bill left her for Brooke more than once – and now he wanted her back when his romance with Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) didn’t pan out.
If Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) were younger and begging for his parents to reunite, Katie said she might be willing to take that leap of faith with Bill.
However, Will was grown and wasn’t making any pleas for his parents to get back together.
Katie was sorry since she knew this wasn’t what Bill wanted to hear, but she had to be honest because she did love him.
Bill called Katie the love of his life, but Katie said that was only when Brooke wasn’t available.
Although Bill argued that hadn’t been true for years, Katie insisted Brooke had been unavailable all that time and that Bill hadn’t been able to test it out.
Besides, Katie liked their relationship the way it was, so she left Bill distraught as she walked out the door.
Next on Thursday’s B&B episode, Brooke arrived for a Brooke’s Bedroom meeting that Bill had forgotten about, so he asked if they could reschedule.
Brooke could tell that something was wrong, so Bill admitted Katie turned him down and said she was only the love of his life when Brooke was unavailable.
