The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, May 22, reveals that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) wondered who would want to watch Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) and Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) trainwreck of a wedding.
Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) thought that if Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) put her foot down, maybe Deacon would reconsider.
Hope argued that she already tried that before Sheila’s miraculous return, but Deacon still wanted to be with her.
Steffy, Brooke and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) remained outraged over the wedding news, but Steffy made it clear that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) knew to stay away from psychopath Sheila and that his loyalty was to his wife.
At Il Giardino on Wednesday’s B&B episode, Sheila made a heartfelt speech about how much it’d mean for Finn to be at the marriage ceremony.
After Sheila wondered if that was really too much to ask, she reminded Finn that she saved Taylor Hayes’ (Krista Allen) life on the hospital roof and came to Kelly Spencer’s (Sophia Paras McKinlay) life on the beach.
Sheila also tried to stop “Sugar” aka Janet Webber (Kimberlin Brown) from going after Steffy, so she used all these examples as proof of her positive transformation.
Although Finn wished Sheila and Deacon the best, he stood his ground and said he couldn’t be at the wedding.
Finn’s commitment was to Steffy and the kids, so he wished Deacon and Sheila good luck at the ceremony before taking off.
Deacon was sorry for getting Sheila’s hopes up, but Sheila suggested she got her own hopes up instead.
Although Sheila was bummed, Deacon assured her that he’d pull out all the stops for their nuptials and added that she wouldn’t be alone ever again.
Sheila was grateful for Deacon, but she complained about Steffy since she’d rather see Finn miserable than change her view of her mother-in-law.
Sheila felt that Finn was acting more distant now and blamed it on Steffy, who would probably never believe Sheila was worthy of Finn’s love.
Once Steffy left Forrester Creations, Hope continued arguing with Brooke and Ridge.
Although Hope would never forgive and forget Sheila’s past, she acknowledged that Sheila wasn’t the one who came after Steffy that night at the cliff house.
Brooke realized Hope really was letting Deacon influence her and tried to stand against it, but Hope felt she’d lost enough and didn’t want to lose her relationship with her dad, too.
Hope said she didn’t want to mention it in front of Steffy, but she ultimately came clean to Ridge and Brooke about Deacon asking her to come to the wedding as Sheila’s maid of honor.
Hope admitted she hadn’t ruled it out, so both Ridge and Brooke got even more riled up.
However, Hope argued that she wasn’t embracing Sheila or inviting her into her life.
This was just about making an appearance for Deacon, but Ridge made a prediction about opportunistic Sheila not seeing it that way.
Once Finn joined Steffy at the cliff house, he confessed to having a complicated day before mentioning Sheila and Deacon’s engagement.
Finn explained that Deacon wanted him to be the best man, but he assured Steffy that he turned him down.
After Finn shared how he wanted to give Deacon updates in person, he said Sheila showed up at Il Giardino.
Steffy assumed Sheila begged Finn to change his mind, but Finn insisted he told Sheila the same thing – that his commitment was to his wife and the children.
Finn told Steffy that nothing in the world came before her, Kelly and Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Alexander and Chase Banks).
Once Finn added that Steffy should never forget how much he loved her, she hugged him and looked worried over his shoulder.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Sheila may make it her mission to drive a wedge between Steffy and Finn eventually, so don’t miss the trouble that’s looming!
