The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Electra Forrester’s (Laneya Grace) first appearance is rapidly approaching, so fans will have a chance to meet her soon. Electra will make her debut on October 22, so it won’t be long until she’s shaking things up as the show’s newest cast addition.
In an interview with TV Insider, Laneya Grace opened up about how she scored the part of Electra and why it turned her life upside down. Grace started off her career by modeling as a little girl, which led to a music video gig for Avicii’s Wake Me Up.
From there, Grace really committed to a performing career and started taking acting lessons when she was 11 years old. The new B&B star also did theater as a high school student before she landed at the University of Houston.
That’s when Grace’s plans went in a new direction thanks to this B&B opportunity. Grace’s self-tape led to a callback, which forced her to bail on her first day of classes and head to Los Angeles.
Since Grace ended up booking the role, she was forced to drop out of college. However, it sounds like Grace has no regrets since she’s already achieving her dreams.
“My goal when I was in college was to make enough money acting that I didn’t need a day job, and I ended up being able to do that before I even graduated. So, it’s crazy, it’s surreal and it’s really, really nice,” Grace said.
As for the character of Electra Forrester, Laneya Grace insisted she’s a go-getter who’s thrilled to be in LA with her aunt, Ivy Forrester (Ashleigh Brewer). Grace had nothing but good things to say about working with Ashleigh Brewer since they formed a fast bond.
Since Grace is part of the Forrester family, she’s also been working with John McCook (Eric Forrester), Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) and Thorsten Kaye (Ridge Forrester).
Grace made a point to mention just how kind and welcoming everyone’s been. That includes Crew Morrow (Will Spencer), who had lunch with Grace ahead of her first day of filming and helped ease her nerves.
Electra will come on the scene as a woman who knows what she wants, but Grace dropped some hints that could point to trouble on the horizon. Does Electra have some secrets and perhaps a few tricks up her sleeve?
“She’s maybe got a little bit of a path that we might find out about later,” Grace teased.
Our predictions point to Will becoming quite smitten with Electra, so we’ll see if he can peel back some layers as they get acquainted.
