Despite speculation that CBS may save Blue Bloods, it looks like the Reagan family is gearing up for their last hooray. The network recently revealed its 2024 fall schedule, and according to TV Insider, Blue Bloods’ final episode ever will take place by the end of this year.
Blue Bloods– When Will Season 14, Part 2 Air?
As Blue Blood fans know, Season 14 is taking place in two parts. Part 1 began earlier this year, and the mid-season finale is set to unfold on Friday, May 17 at 10 p.m. (ET).
The show will take a summer hiatus and Season 14, Part 2 will commence in October 2024, with the series finale is airing this December 2024. Season 14, Part 1 consisted of 10 episodes, while Part 2 will have eight.
Amy Reisenback, CBS Entertainment, recently reflected on Blue Bloods during a media conference where she talked about the network’s fall schedule, noted, “We really want to thank the cast and crew, everyone involved in the show. We absolutely will miss the family dinners. It is important to give the show the sendoff it deserves.”
When responding to the fan campaigns to save Blue Bloods, which also included the cast, Reisenback stated, “We love this cast, we love their passion for the show. All shows have to come to an end. It’s important to us to refresh the schedule. We are going to end the show come December.”
Blue Bloods – Fan Campaigns Could Not Save The Show
Unfortunately, as they say, all good things come to an end. Fans of Blue Bloods began petitioning in hopes to save the show, even seen by cast members like Donnie Wahlberg.
Considering that S.W.A.T. has been saved twice now from the brink of cancellation, Blue Blood viewers were hoping for the same love, but it doesn’t look like that will be the case.
As of this writing, the exact dates for Blue Bloods Season 14, Part 2 premiere, and the series finale, have not been released. Fans will have to wait and see.
