In tonight’s The Equalizer episode, Things were still intense at home. Robyn McCall had a bust up with her aunt. Robyn said things she didn’t mean. She later had to apologize to her aunt and she agreed to assist her aunt with Drake Aunt Vi was still in contact with Drake. Drake was the man that held up a convenience store at gunpoint.

He technically took her hostage and she was able to talk him down. It helped that the gun wasn’t loaded, but he got sent to prison anyways and he found a passion while locked up. He fell in love with architecture. There weren’t a lot of books about that in prison. Aunt Vi was compiling a list of books and she was going to gift them to him.

Aunt Vi hasn’t heard from Drake in a while. She was a little worried. She was using the books to reconnect and try to help him. Robyn was going to assist her with that when Dee took precedence. Dee’s friend was missing. She was really worried. She felt something was wrong. Her friend was Raya Cayman.

She was a trans girl. She joined a kiki house after she started to transition. She got into a minor altercation with one of the other girls at the kiki house. The dance group were also the last to see her because she disappeared after a rehearsal. Raya had been abducted.

Before they knew about the abduction, Dee turned to her mom for help. Robyn enlisted Harry and Mel. She also got Detective Dante on board. They all went looking for Raya.

The detective was the first to find signs of her. There was an abduction outside of a gas station. Raya left behind her nameplate necklace and she wrote in her own blood “help” on the bathroom mirror when she got taken. Dee went with Robyn to talk with the girl that was arguing with Raya prior to her disappearance. Dee has been a witness to it. She was the only one that could identify the girl.

It was a mere case of jealousy. Raya was a black trans woman with her family’s full support. She still lives at home with her parents. Angie on the other hand was a black trans girl that was homeless as well as undocumented.

She had no one until she found the kiki house. The place saved her and she got mad at Raya because Raya didn’t need saving. Not until now that it is. Angie didn’t really have an issue with Raya. She was willing to help in any form she could and she proved that when she told them about Raya’s ex-boyfriend.

Raya used to date a guy that demanded their relationship be kept a secret. Angie warned her about guys like that. The ones that didn’t want to openly date someone that’s trans. Raya finally listened to her. She dumped the guy. He wasn’t taking it well. He was still hanging outside of the kiki house. The ex’s name was Gabriel Medina.

He has anger problems and part of his probation required that he take classes. That he missed by the way. Robyn and Mel caught up to Gabriel. He tried to run when he saw them.

Gabriel thought they were with his parole officer. He didn’t want to get in trouble for skipping the classes. They informed him that they weren’t going to turn him in. They were there about Raya.

Gabriel didn’t know she was missing. He thought she was mad at him. Gabriel said he would never do anything to hurt Raya. She understands him best in the whole world. They were even supposed to meet on the night she went missing. Its why he was still hanging around the kiki house. They were supposed to meet for pizza and he was late because he had to help his dad with the store.

Gabriel later turned up to find Raya was no longer there. He thought she must have gone home. Gabriel told them about the pizza store. Harry checked the surveillance cameras.

He found a van that was holding another teenage girl hostage. These people must have also grabbed Raya. Raya was a pretty girl who happened to be by herself. She was an easy target. If she was taken by human traffickers, then these people were going to hold onto them for a short time before potentially selling them elsewhere.

The guys later caught up to the supposed human traffickers. The girls were no longer with them. The men weren’t talking. Only they found a photos of both Stella and Raya. They were school photos of them. That’s how the kidnappers found them. They used the photo of the other kidnapped girl to identify her. She was Stella Binton. She was once Steven. She came out as trans and her parents couldn’t deal with it. They sent her away to a conversion camp. They thought they would get a son at the end of this.

They signed over their daughter to be abused. Raya’s mom didn’t do that with her. It was actually grandpa that signed off on it and he did it without knowing the location of where the camp was.

He claimed he did his research into them. He said they did great work. Which is a lie. The man that runs the camp was once an abused child that got sent to juvenile detention for something sealed and came out looking to hurt children. He’s started several camps all around the country. They all get shut down once he starts killing a few of these kids.

Conversion camps were illegal in the state of New York. His newest camp was in Staten Island. It could easily get shut down. Harry found it with the help M.E.L. He went there with Robyn and Mel.

Things were in disarray at the camp because both Raya and Stella escaped after being tortured. Mel found them. She rescued them. Harry found the other kids. He rescued them too. Robyn got the records for the camp. And so Detective Dante was called in to make an official arrest.

Raya was reunited with her mother who loves her exactly as she is. But Detective Dante found out his father was leaving the state to attend a funeral from his father’s parole officer. Big Ben had claimed that Dante was going to be his police escort when truthfully he never bothered to ask. He simply assumed and Dante wasn’t sure if he was going to do that favor for him.

Aunt Vi also got in touch with Drake. Drake had lost hope. She helped give it back to him. She was going to stay his friend and nothing he does will change that. So he might as well keep her.

Dee meanwhile was thinking about transferring to military school when Robyn talked her out of it. The military was very restrictive and Dee who sometimes flaunt authority wasn’t cut out for it just yet.

THE END!
