In tonight’s The Equalizer, Miles was going to meet Cam for the first time. Cam was his daughter’s boyfriend. Delilah knew her father could get a little intense and so she asked her mom to be there. Robyn’s met Cam before. Robyn could act as a go-between with Miles and Cam. Or at least that was a plan until a new case popped up.
Robyn was hired by a man whose sister disappeared in prison. The prison was claiming that Jenna Banks was released after serving her seven years and that couldn’t be possible. Her brother was waiting outside the whole day. He never saw his sister leave prison. And the prison has lost a prisoner before.
The other woman that disappeared was Ciara Perry. The prison swore she was released. They had a record of her leaving, but they didn’t have video evidence in either cases to prove the women left. Robyn was worried about what was happening with these women. She had Detective Dante turn her in as a prisoner.
Mel was also undercover. She went as a guard. Mel was supposed to look for the official records. Robyn was supposed to get clues from the other prisoners about what they think happened to the women. Mel kept her head down. Robyn made sure to grab attention.
Robyn tried asking nicely. She asked people if they’d seen Jenna. They refused to talk to a newbie. Robyn then turned off the tv when several officers was watching it and she beat up a woman that tried to stop her. That’s when Robyn revealed her secret connection to Jenna. She claimed that Jenna killed her cousin.
Jenna was serving time for manslaughter. Robyn said she went to prison because she was looking to even the score with Jenna. Robyn also further committed herself as a troublemaker when she started a brawl in the dining hall. She jumped the line. She then had to fight about five women before the correction officers finally broke it up.
Robyn started that second fight because she finally got someone to tell her about Jenna. There was an elderly woman who said that Jenna was probably in solitary for fighting the wrong person.
The wrong person being Bianca Silva. Robyn started that brawl on the lunch line because she wanted to upset Bianca. Bianca seemed to be running the prison. The other prisoners knew she could get anything they waned. The correction officers tend to leave her to fend for herself. And so Robyn fighting her put her right in the thick of it.
Robyn was knocked out by a guard. She thought she’d wake up in solitary. She instead woke up in a special cell next to women that were coming back from a fight. She didn’t have time to tell Mel her plan. Harry didn’t have access to the cameras inside of the prison. Robyn basically disappeared on them.
Mel went looking for her eventually. She found out that there was this one guard that signed off whenever the women disappeared. His name is Darren Rigby. Rigby has been shuffled around prison to prison for every violation possible. Until he ended up at Hopefield.
Rigby was also the one that knocked out Robyn. He dragged her off to an area where there aren’t any cameras. Mel finally got Harry access to the security cameras. She had to knock out an officer to do so.
It brought back some of her PTSD, but it helped her look for Robyn. Robyn did end up missing the introduction between Miles and Cam. Cam was a sweet guy. He started his own business. He wanted to grow it and Miles looked down on that because he thought Cam was foolish for skipping college.
Miles barely let the boy talk much less defend himself. It was clear he didn’t think Cam was good enough for Delilah and so Delilah had to remind her dad that she was dating Cam.
Not Miles. She was reigning her father while her mother was forced to fight for her life. The prison was holding an underground fight club with the prisoners. There were a bunch of people that weren’t prisoners watching. The guards and Bianca made sure to contact gambling addicts because they would love something so exclusive.
Robyn also ticked off Bianca so much that Bianca was holding a “death match”. Robyn and Jenna had to fight each other until one of them dies. Robyn was able to share a private word with Jenna.
They talked before the fight. They tried to come up with a plan to escape. It didn’t work. Mel’s cover also got blown. All three women were trapped and caught. Rigby controlled the dirty guards. Bianca controlled the prisoners. The women were all going to die when thankfully Dante showed up with federal agents.
Everyone involved in the illegal matches was now facing jail time. Bianca doesn’t care. She was already facing life sentences for several people she murdered. Jenna however finally released. She was reunited with her brother. And the other missing women are getting justice.
Dante talked to Harry about all the obstacles in the way between him and Robyn. He was in LA. She was in NYC. Harry still told his friend to shoot his shot and he never did because Dante saw Robyn hugging Miles. Dante came to believe that Robyn moved on while she thought Dante wasn’t fighting for her.
THE END!
