The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, January 9, reveals that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will bump into someone surprising on the Crimson Lights patio. Y&R fans may recall that Ashley was married to Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) once upon a time, so it’ll be a real blast from the past when they see each other again.
When Ashley wonders about the reason for Cole’s return to town, he may fill her in on Jordan’s (Colleen Zenk) wild revenge plot and Claire Grace’s (Hayley Erin) kidnapping as a baby.
Now Claire is all grown up and struggling to let go of her history, so Cole may be a bit disheartened.
However, Ashley will offer support and have faith that Claire will bond with her parents sooner or later.
Although Claire recently pushed Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) away, there’s plenty of time for her to open her heart to her mom as well as her dad.
While Cole gets advice from Ashley, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will get some stunning updates that cause his downward spiral.
Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) decided to choose Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) over Kyle, so she ratted out Kyle’s dirty trick.
Now Kyle can’t pull off his plan to dupe Tucker with a fake Jabot product and frame him for corporate theft.
Once Kyle presumably realizes Audra blabbed and turned against him, he’ll feel betrayed.
Kyle’s going to lose his temper and will no doubt have a hard time finding his footing again.
Other Y&R spoilers say Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will gather her courage and try to score a romantic path forward with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).
The good news is that Chance is totally free now that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) dumped him.
The bad news is Chance may not be ready to move on from Sharon just yet – particularly if he feels like Summer’s conversation with her messed things up.
Summer will deliver an unexpected curveball to Chance, so we’ll see if that involves a lip lock, a confession about her feelings or something else.
Whatever the case, Chance will have to decide how he feels about Summer’s move and whether he’s interested in moving out of the friend zone.
